Agreed 100%. I think Froch is underrated in that match up.

The interesting part is that Ward doesn't have the physical attributes of Froch and Ward's style has so far been to get on the inside which probably is the wrong medicine for Abraham.

    LMAO!!

    :lol::lol::lol:

He has fast hands but he can be beaten to the punch by someone faster (which is why i slightly favored Dirrell). Bika was actually out jabbing him early on.

He was fighting stupid that time. Kept trying to knock the guy out by loading up on single left hooks :-(. But later on in the fight, he took it to the outside(R7? 8?) and he easily outboxed the guy.

Froch isn't faster than him at any rate, definitely not in terms of footspeed.

    I've to agree - sadly. :-(

If AA would bring his balls to the fight, then this would be a different story. The guy who fought Miranda was simply a different version of a fighter. If that version would show up on fight night Ward would be in trouble.

I didnt come out with the Jokeland line, that was HEADBANGER, so I cant take credit for that.

But I agree, Ward oesnt have the Froch Power, the Dirrell Speed to keep AA from coming in, and also doesnt have the reach of Froch/Dirrell to keep himself out.

You and Speedtron hit the nail on the head. The big thing is Abrahams mental state. Not only has he been outclassed (and exposed) in the last 2 fights, but his trainer has publicly called him a coward.

Another thing is that his trainer Wegner, due to his god-like status in Germany, has eluded critisism following the Froch defeat. And that is odd considering there was no Plan B and AA just stood there catching round after round.

I only meant Dirrell being faster than Ward but jab neutralizes speed, and Froch has a great one (see the later rounds of his fight against Pascal). Call me crazy but i think Froch can pull the upset if he makes it an outside fight and somehow put a stop to Wards inside rushes. He also has to unleash hell when Ward backs into a corner.

Funny nevertheless. I'm still a noob here on esb, so I'll have to get in the loop.

It'll be interesting to see if Froch could win an outside fight with Ward but I kinda doubt it- Ward's faster and has a very very good versatile jab himself! I don't see him losing to Froch in an exchange of lefts, he's pretty good with controlling range at a distance(although i actually agree with you on the dirrell thing). As for the inside, I thnk that'd be a mess given Froch's lankbody.

I think Froch should be really offensive in this one as far as throwing power punches and staying at middle range. At any rate he still has the very undersold Johnson to worry about who I honestly think could pull an upset. Don't sleep on im. He might be old but he's got a much bigger pair than AA.

I have a sneaky feeling that the title of this thread will prove accurate. Abraham is a wounded animal. And very dangerous because of it.

The problem is that AA was the wounded animal after the Dirrell fight and he responded like a kitten against Froch.

Still the beauty of the supersix is that there's another chance, and in terms of style Ward is the better match-up for Abraham than Froch. Only thing is that the Froch defeat just might have ruined him mentally and I don't think a tune-up against a clubfighter does anything towards restoring confidence.

Yeah the fight will be very interesting on the outside, because Ward will have to jab up and Frochs arms are freakishly long. I just feel that if Froch played the agressor, he would be playing into Ward hands and would get countered like mad. I think people overlook his boxing skills sometimes.
