Its set for March. Same nights. HBO is competing with Bob Arums PPV.

Why the hell isnt this a double header?? Does Bob actually think people are gonna wanna watch Cotto more than Martinez for $50 more? Specially against a washed up fighter who will more than likely be dead from making the weight.

I love to watch Cotto fight but im not shelling out 50 bux when we got a perfectly good fight on HBO for free. The opponent is more than likely going to be Andy Lee who is a good fighter and should provide some fireworks. Actually its a vey risky fight for MArtinez. Lee has some pop and good boxing skills.

Someone needs to take Bob the **** out.

The Martinez fight of course (though being from the UK I can watch neither 'legally' so it doesn't make a difference - but if I were American it would still be the Martinez fight)

But I dont understand why this isn't on the same card as a PPV, especially as Martinez is the one fighting at MSG which is meant to be Cotto's home turf.

I know what press conference i'm watching. Mayorga gonna be hilarious talking about how badly cotto got beat by margarito and pac. I wonder if we gonna see cotto do some trash talking.

this should be on the same card, are these fighst at the same time because I want to watch both guys, if martinez fights dzinziruk im watching that fight, plus I hope this will teach bob arum a lesson what happens when you keep making bull**** fights.
They should just move the cotto fight to a weak earlier or later.

I hope they cant get it moved. I think that PPV will flop big time if it stays on the same date as the guy(Martinez) thats probably going to win fighter of the year and knockout of the year.

I men how many PPVs does Arum throw at us year round? Its pathetic.

HBO is doing a good thing here. Maybe i wont cancel their service after all.
Right now i got both HBO and Showtime but if i had to choose i would choose Showtime in a hearbeat.

Hmmm i dont know man. He has much better fundamentals than PW. He wont be walking into bombs. Besides Steward has been working with him.

I think this goes 12 in a suprisingly close fight which Martinez edges.

No Dzinzurik was another one mentioned. Actually HBO would prefer him from the last time i checked but reading todays article on ESB it looked like Lee was more than likely the one to get it which i would think would be the bigger name than Dzinzurik. Although Dzinzurik seems to be a good fighter also. He is a natural 154 pounder though.

Lee is about 6'2" and im sure his reach is longer than Martinez. Martinez is only 5'10" so i would think Lee makes it very hard for him pumping jabs at him all night. This has possible upset written all over it.

would it be at 160 or 154? I think dzinziruk is a better fighter then lee and has a great jab as well, he is also taller then martinez and could make for a interesting fight.

For real? Dont contribute to Arums crap...
It just means he will keep feeding it to us. If it was on a different night i guess it could be justified but you got a free fight you could be watching.

also arent people sick of Mayorga getting used as a stepping stone for PPVs?
