The fight wasn't that difficult to score at all. It was a clear win for mayweather.

I think it was a combination of both Oscar's well known tendency to fade in the late rounds and Floyd adapting to that style. Floyd is a great boxer and boxing him in the center of the ring is not the wisest strategy to beat him.

I had mayweather up by at least 2 rounds by the end of the fight and I was being generous to oscar as i was being fooled at the time by all those pitty pat punches when he had floyd against the ropes.

When i rewatched the fight again, I had mayweather even further ahead. 116-112.

    That's not a card, that's your score. Where's your round-by-round scorecard? :huh

Pitty pat? I thought he was throwing some properly hard shots as Oscar always does. They just weren't landing too cleanly.

Anyway I had the fight 116-112 to Mayweather, if I get time and recover enough from this hangover I'll watch this fight again and post a proper scorecard.

Considering the fight took place in 2007, i don't have a round by round card available, and I ain't about to sit down a rewatch the fight during my xmas break.

However, what I do remember is having mayweather winning a clear decision against oscar the first and the second time round of scoring it.

If this thread is still alive after the new year, i will bump it up and post a round by round rewatching the fight once again.

i was at the fight and had it 115-114 for mayweather. i've never scored at home but at the fight i would have had no problem with a draw.

I look forward to it, because I can't see how Oscar didn't win rounds 2,3,4,7 and 8, meaning the widest this fight could be scored to Floyd would be 115-113.

By the way, isn't your Xmas break the ideal time to spend relaxing and watching fights and other TV? This is precisely the time of year when I have most time to do that sort of stuff, usually I'm too busy with uni and work to devote myself to it.

I also thought he was throwing some hard shots, but like you said when i rewatched it I saw that the majority of them flurries was landing on floyd's arms and elbows with no great effect.

Your scorecard is near enough like my one, when i rewatched it the 2nd time round. The first time i watched it live i only had mayweather by 2 rounds, that's because I was scoring what I perceived at the time as oscar's effective aggression.

When I rewatched it back, i couldn't score hardly any of them punches against the ropes.

Did anyone NOT SCORE 2 and 4 for Oscar? Those were his clearest rounds.
