That's why they signed him for a 3 o4 fights deal...

What about Kessler vs Bute and the winner gets the winner of the S6?

Would be a great idea. I doubt it though as Kessler has been promised a shot at the s6 winner and holds emeritus stature with the WBC.

If he fights Bute, he gets a shot at the IBF belt plus a chance to get back his WBC belt. It's better for him that way.

I think there's more prestige and money in getting the s6 winner TBH, and that fight would sell much better in Denmark than Bute who's virtually unknown. All the supersixers are known figures here.

Bute draws huge crowds especially against some one like Kessler. If the fight is in Canada you can expect somewhere around 30 k +.
Against Andrade almost 17k thickets where sold in less than 1 hour. His fans are hungry for a big fight so you can imagine the hysteria that will be generated.

True. Montreal is a great fight city for sure.

Kessler vs. Ward/Froch/Abraham could easily fill a stadium over here. A Bute fight would be just as interesting, but needs a little more selling than the 3 mentioned.

The Froch fight was sold out in 1½ hour even though the cheapest tickets was as high as 150 USD (roughly).

It would be nice to see Bute fight outside of Montreal. He gets a lot of crap for staying home. People dont realize the revenue that he gets fighting in Montreal, so he would be stupid to leave.

A fight with Kessler in Denmark would probably net equal money, so then he wouldnt have an excuse. Id like to see that and the winner fight Ward.

    Good take:good

IMO Bute beats each and every SMW handily. It is them not trying to get it on with him that makes the division look disinteresting.

Yeah, he could be a little more assertive in his promotion, but he is the fighter, and allows for his team to make and promote his fights.

Why not fight your mandatory now, so that he could take on a more lucrative and exciting fight later.

When the S6 is over and done with, the pretenders will be ancient history, and Bute will have his night with Ward, and we will all have our answer as to who is top dog in that division.

I got Bute by brutal and inhumane KO over Ward. EARLY!

I suggest you do a search then.

Anyway lots of other fighters interest me so before long you'll see me comment on them as well hopefully.

And that also gives his opponents a very good payday. They also want to come in Montreal and take the cash.
