Even though Ezzard's clearly past his best, I gotta say this is one of my favorite victories by one of my favorite fighters. The clash of styles is incredible! All rounds are a competitive mix of clever boxing and accurate, deadly counterpunching. There's fighting at every range, inside, middle, and outside, and both guys are masters at seeking their openings.

    Anyone else dig it?!

Yes, I agree. The round Charles puts Walcott down...that was a class A kd..ol' Jersey Joe had to lay there and think about things before he got up. Charles was in fine form mostly in that fight. Kind of surprised that they got it on for a third time..you'd have thought fight #2 would have settled the issue between them.

Really loved the KD, it was interesting to see Charles fight as the counterpuncher/defensively against a guy who is renowned for that. Ezz showed that he could at least compete with JJW in the feinting department as well.

The rematches did a lot to enhance walcott's legacy, really astounding comebacks. And they were also really good fights in their own right. I just hate seeing Charles get knocked out :|

A lot of fun to watch; Walcott really pulls out the stops in round 15 and makes it interesting to the end.

I thought it was a bit untidy due to all the clinching, but the exchanges were good, especially the 15th round when Walcott went for it.

True, but there's some good infighting to be seen there from both guys, it's just very nice to see a strong and consistent technical effort from the heavies for 15, I don't think there are many fights that fit that description

The 4th fight isn't that bad of a fight either, even though it's made out to have been a bore. The 3rd fight was a bit uninspiring until Charles got knocked out.

There's some clips of the first fight as well, which could have featured the two at their HW bests. The rematch happened 2 years later, with Walcott coming off the upset loss to Layne and Charles having had a busy title reign.

Now, the fight that truly gets no love at all is Walcott-Charles IV...the mystery fight as far as I'm concerned for all the attention I've seen given it.

Used to be on youtube but it was taken down as most other fights. A shame because the action was better than often made out to be.

I'm a fan of Charles he's my fav heavyweight of that time and TBH, I love all of those fights. I don't think I have seen the first fight but have gotten Charles' fights and have a highlight of it so I will be watching it sometime soon.
