Was never much of a Felix Trinidad fan but I loved the power in that hook he throws. Behold the destruction.

I'm always impressed by the way he beat Whitaker even if others aren't. I think he did enough to prove he wasn't just some other power puncher that occasionally comes along. The left hook though! It was too bad him and de la Hoya never actually went to war, to incredibly accurate and powerful left hooks swinging away.

How do a young Felix would cope in todays 147, 154 and 160 scene? At the moment I think only Mayweather beats him, and that Martinez and Manny would give him a tough fight even if they lose. Margarito-Trinidad would have been a one-sided bloodbath for the ages!

    Trinidad Sminidad.
Cocky ***** who got what he deserved against Hopkins.
    Ask Joppy about that power.
It's easy to knock someone out with loaded wraps.
He was never the same after Hopkins and it wasn't all due to the humiliation Bernard gave him.

Plus, ***** lost to De La Hoya and everyone knows it.
What Winky Wright did to him should have made everyone tease him even in PR.

He came back only to gather cash.

    Sorry.
I really never liked the dude.

Neither did I but there is no need to be a **** about it. He took on the best around, not many can testify fight de la Hoya, Hopkins and Jones, three of the best fighters of all time. This thread is more about the destruction his left hook brought to boxing in the 1990's and early 2000's.

Get your facts straight first. There was nothing 'loaded' about Tito's handwraps, the issue was with taping directly onto the skin. You think a layer of tape on his skin under his wraps suddenly turned him into a concussive puncher?

He was an exciting KO artist i prefered him at 147-154 rather 160.

The crowd used to get really into his entrances and that made me get into them. He was good. Why would you not have liked him?

By the way....yes he defintaly should have lost the Dela Hoya fight but that was Oscars fault for being a ****ing dick when he should have just seen it thru

I never liked Trinidad either.... especially the way he carried on with the rubber chicken after Oscar got robbed. Now that he's gone... he was a damn good fighter at 147 - 154. Always exciting and gave the fans their money's worth.

The reason I picked Tito to beat Manny is mostly because of Tito's size. I really hate to pick against Manny as he somehow ends up winning! I still think Tito knocks his head of though.
