The thread about McGrain's book got me to thinking......anybody get any cool books or DVD's or memorabilia for the holidays? If not this year, what are some things you've gleaned from Christmases past?

My favorite was probably 1984, when I got 20 back issues of World Boxing magazine, which really amped up my knowledge of fighters of the past couple decades I'd missed out on. That year, I also got The Ring Record Book, which I still have here somewhere. Hopelessly outdated now, but it's a cool piece of history, or will be one day.

Just before christmas I bought myself a box coupling of a ESPN 10 greatest heavyweights DVD with a book on the history of boxing - people in england may have seen it in the shops the nice big glossy box has a great pic of Ali fighting Cleve Williams across the front of it and on the flipside of the lid is an awesome pic of Foreman fighting Holyfield - people have stopped getting me boxing stuff because I've usually got everything before anyone else has chance to get it for me haha - I got a great present from my girlfriend earlier in the year tho - the Harry Greb Book Tragic Hero Of Boxing - that was awesome - one of my prized possesions
