    Yes.

and the amount he goes on about Lee I'm not sure where'd he'd be fight night, most probably with Cotto though as he pays him more.

Yes but that is not the reason. I am not being biased here. Go look at all my posts on the Brit thread and point out where I have been biased. I know that Barker and Macklin are pretty much on a similar level to Lee but I believe has more power and skill then both of them. I'd give them a chance but my money would be on Lee. That said I don't think Lee is the best at 160, but wouldn't be surprised if he put up a decent showing against sergio by playing it safe with teh job and a conservateive opening 3 rounds.

    Fair enough. :good

I think Macklin has more power and similar skills and would beat him and Barker has superior skills and decent enough power to outbox him.

By the way a lot of Irish Lee fans don't want this fight to happen because they think he isn't ready. Personally I'd love to see Martinez V Pirog but I just don't think their paths will collide.

David Lopez is a better, more experienced, and more deserving opponent that Andy Lee. Lopez has been in the Ring top 10 at 160 FOR YEARS!! At one point he was #7. Right now he is #9. They dropped him off for a few months due to inactivity, but as soon as he got active again they put him back on the top 10 list. Furthermore, there have always been a few guys above him that he would beat.

His resume shits all over Lee's. If a young prospect put together the winning streak that David put together over the last few years, the entire boxing world would be screaming for the guy to get a title shot. David Lopez gets ignored. Sometimes boxing SUCKS!!

To be fair to Martinez maybe he is being advised to take and "easy defense" similar to the way Pavlik was advised to when he chose Gary Lockett and when Sturm chose just about everyone he has defended against since Sylvester LOL. Look I am a fan of Lee obviously, but don't hate the guy if he get's his shot. At least he travels abroad and stays active and calls out people who are expected to beat him.
Lopez could look for an all mexican show down with Rubio if he wanted to do it the hard way through the ratings! I hear Rubio is scheduled to fight Lemeiux but it might have to go to purse bids at this stage as he refuses to fight in Canada.

Both. I will not miss out on Cotto vs Mayorga, so I will pay for that one if I have to, and whoever Martinez winds up fighting Ill tune in for.

I think both opponents are pretty risky and definately a step above lockett.
