Those events happened during the American-Filipino war during the turn of the century, if you could consider that a war. It was more like a genocide than anything else, where villages after villages were massacred.

The Filipinos suffered close to 1.5 million deaths.

During the said war, filipinos who were probably the first to do the "suicide" attacks, where "Moros" (a derogatory word) or the Muslims of the south would run "amok" (a Filipino as well as Malay term used in the English language to denote such act) will run against a hail of bullets wielding just a "kris" or a sword and still be able to kill a few sooldiers before dying.

At the time, the US army has the .38 caliber as the standard sidearm. Knowing ballistics, this gun does not actually have the stopping power to stop someone who is is running on pure adrenaline.

That is why the standard sidearm was subsequently changed to the Colt .45, simply for its sheer stooping power.

It can be found in wiki or some good encyclopedia. Just google colt .45 and Philippines.

From wiki-answers:The Colt .45 had been recently replaced by the Long .38 which was found to have insufficient power to stop a charging Filipino, even with multiple hits. Therefore, the Colt. 45 was pulled from retirement and sent to the Philippines, and it proved more effective. When the US Army decided to adopt an autoloading pistol in the 1900's, a .45 cartridge was specified as a result of experience in that war.

Floyd Mayweather Sr.'s IQ level is probably hovering in the high 70's at this stage. The man is ****ing stupid, ignorant and just because he is opinionated people listen and because he is Floyds father. I bet half of the posters on this board who actually follow boxing like I do have more knowledge of the sport than Sr., at this stage of his pathetic exhistence. He is a drug addict, drug dealing, scumbag

Choose your own poison, either take pejevan's post or read the whole history to really understand reasoning behind it.

Anyone with a punch like Mosley, have a chance to beat anyone. But I doubt he will win, but lets see how Pacquiao reacts to punches landed by Mosley.

Margarito does not hit as hard as Mosely.

Mosely was not bothered by Margarito's shots. Mosely has one of the best chins in the business. The outcome with Margarito, no matter what, would've resulted in a lopsided loss for Margarito. He is the kind of fighter Mosely has dominated his entire career.

Margarito was not bothered in the first round, though he was being hit clean. He was still pumping the jab, in spite of that, and landing with it. It's the body shot, Pac delivered in the 4th(?) round, that made Margo hesitant. Mosely will, more than likely, NOT be KO'd, in this fight...unless he completely drops his hands and stops fighting (then a ref or corner stoppage could possibly occur).

I agree that Pac is too fast for THIS version of Mosely though, and his stamina is twice that of Shane's. But, he's not stronger than Mosely. If you are implying that he is, head to head, both with full stamina, I disagree. If you are saying that he's as strong as he's ever been and with his speed and stamina to match, he's too much for an aging Shane to handle, I agree.

Sorry but I don't really want to read the whole thing because I know our history. I was trying to find out what exactly to look for that proves Roger was saying the truth.
