Already we have two fights in the first two months which are arguably better than any fight we have seen in 2010.

The first takes place in January between 1/2 ranked Timothy Bradely and 3/4 ranked Devon Alexander. Both unbeaten (on paper), this fight is without doubt a superfight and is a real pick em fight.

My prediction: Bradley by narrow UD.

Next up we have an even bigger fight in Nonito Donaire versus Fernando Montiel. Montiel is recognised as a p4p top ten fighter by just about everyone and many (including myself) consider Donaire to be the best boxer in the division but has yet to prove it. Both look unstoppable at the moment with Donaire destroying Sidorenko recently and Montiel sensationally breaking Hasegawa's jaw and stopping him just a few months back. This fight excites me as much as any.

My prediction: Donaire by UD or possibly a late stoppage.

We also have super six match ups to look forward to. Ward v Abraham probably won't be the FOTY due to styles but when AA is in the ring you are always on the edge of your seat due to his KO abilities and against Ward this won't be any different. Would be great to see Ward lose just to shake things up.

My prediction: Ward by wide UD.

Back to bantamweight again and we have another monster of a fight between warrior Abner Mares and Joseph Agbeko. Both are coming off fantastic performances to make it to the final of the tourney and this promises to be another great fight. These bantamweight warriors and setting the standard all the rest of the divisions should aspire to. Best fighting the best.

My predicion: Mares by close UD

We also have great fights which potentially could be made in 2011 of which I will make a thread about soon.

    Khan v Bradley/Alexander
    Khan v Mayweather
    Bute v Super Six entrant
    Martinez v Mayweather
    Donaire/Montiel v Mares/Agbeko
    Haye v Klitschkos
    Gamboa/Juanma/John
    Golovkin v N'Jikam
    Williams v Pirog

Feel free to discuss anythng mentioned. Do you agree with my predicions? What superfights will we see in 2011 and how do you see them going.

    Here's to 2011 :happy

I hope a few of the "potential fights" finally are made this coming year. Then it could be really memorable.

    Stop mentioning this already.
Thats how 2010 was a dissappointment. The sport was expecting it to happened in 2010 and it didnt. Floyd's going to jail. Pac is only fighting to remain in the peoples' spotlight for 3 years to prepare for a presidential run. Move on to more likely fights that will happen and wont leave us hanging like this one did.

I said POTENTIAL fights. I'll make a thread later about the likelyhood of each happening. Said fight will not be highly likely. I regret even putting it in there now because that is what all the *******s and *****s like yourself are gonna jump on

Agbeko looked absolutely superb against Perez. I think I may be picking him over Mares.

Ha good one. It took Williams 50-50 and to be announced second like the champion does just to face the lineal MW champion of the world.

Do you think he is going to face one of the most promising prospects who is not well known and can punch like a mule!?!?

I think a more realistic one is PW-Jacobs. I can see that being made and it wouldnt be bad. Jacobs by decision.

I think so too. If Mares goes in there planning on brawling he will get schooled by Agbeko. Unless Agbeko brawls then its 50-50.

You should really change that avatar. If some one enters the room while I read any of your posts, he's gonna start to question my sexuality cuz the eyes will always jump right at the picture and not the text. I actually turn around every time I start reading one of your post , just to be safe

Who's saying he'll fight him next? The fight could make sense at the end of 2011 if Pirog gets another victory on HBO.

Until some fights are actually formalized, the next four months are basically Bradley v Alexander and Montiel v Donaire. Not much else. That isn't anything to cheer about, yet. 2011 does have a lot of potential though.

Those two fights are probably better than anything we have seen in the previous year. So there is something to cheer about.
