Johnson is very experienced and still very good! We all know Johnson never gets decisions to go his way, so he will lose unless he stops Froch. Johnson creates great angles to not get hit and then exploit his opponents holes. I hope Johnson wins.

Johnson shouldn't be ruled out but Froch can slug it out or box if he chooses to. I see him boxing his way to a UD with some memorable excahnges.

Froch is a real athlete and has learned from the Kessler fight. That was more like the old Carl Froch up to his Pascal fight. He fights like that he take Johnson out late in the day IMO.

Thats boxing mate. Some you win some you lose. Some will argue he won both, some will argue he lost both. I thought he was very unlucky against Kessler though. He won at least enough rounds for a draw IMO.

I couldn't agree with you more Boo. If anything I give Johnson the edge in this fight. Glen is a lot more crafty than many think. He gets you inside and he will hurt you. With his pressure and Froch's style it will be a great fight. Very excited for this one too!

Stamina is the key to this fight IMO. Froch has plenty. Johnson not so much.

Agree about Stamina being important, but even at his age, Glen can keep the pressure for 12 rounds. Sure he will take rounds off and not punch as much, but the other rounds he has the stamina to keep at you and knock you out. I have seen Froch winded against lesser pressure fighters. He will be on his toes all night and need to be in great shape. It's going to be next to impossible for Froch to hurt Glen and wear him down. Froch will need another fantastic performance like he had against Abraham to stay away and keep countering. I think againt Glen, this will be much tougher to do.

Glen Johnson has not stopped many opponents at 175. At 168 and below he stopped guys left and right. I never had a high opinion of Green, but he took bombs off Miranda and finished on his feet. Against Johnson he got knocked out for the first time. Johnson has the power to hurt Froch.

Someone on here recently referred to Glen's right hand as a "gorilla club." That gorilla club right hand is the great equalizer in this fight. Carl's fans love to prattle on about his jab. The truth is, Carl's jabbing technique stinks, and that is why Jermain Taylor could hit him with lead rights almost at will. At various points Carl will jab off the front foot, and leave his chin hanging out over his front foot, and BANG, gorilla club!

The combination of Froch's poor jabbing technique, and Johnson's right hand, keeps The Road Warrior in this fight. Carl may win, but this is going to be a very difficult fight. Carl is not fighting half blind Kessler, prospect Dirrell, damaged Jermain Taylor, or Arthur the can killer. He's fighting Glen "The Road Warrior" Johnson, and that is a horse of a different color.

Froch beats Johnson by late TKO as the ref stops Johnson on his feet in the 10th or 11th round.

Johnson has a little surge around rounds 5, 6 and 7 but a momentum building fight for Froch before this and a beating after means the referee stops the fight before Johnson gets seriously hurt.

Froch then goes on to win a close UD v Ward in the final (providing the fight is not in Joakland).

Make me a list of all the guys who had an "easy night" against Glen Johnson. I'll wait.
