Arum to Marquez: Beat Berto and you´ll get Pac

JMM vs. Pac at 140 will be a classic. Berto vs. Manny at 147 would be a war

I give him a better chance against a guy closer to his own weight who he has experience against than a young, fast and hard hitting guy who would have 15lbs+ over him on fight night... and at 147 to boot, which Marquez has never fought at..

Pacquiao slays Berto at any weight, murders him. He also probably ****s up JMM pretty bad at any weight.

 

Marquez gets devastated in both fights. I really don't understand all the drama. Marquez just got knocked down by a single left hook against a Lightweight. Juan Diaz gave him a competitive fight before that. Marquez hasn't got it in him to be moving up a division and challenging the likes of Manny Pacquiao and Andre Berto. This is way above his station at this point in his career.

I disagree.
Pac murders JMM at any weight above LW but on and below that, it's going to at least be competitive.
It's still going to be Pac by stoppage, but it's gonna last some rounds more at least.

**** Berto. He needs to buls his resume and achievement on his own like most others have. He's been hand fed stiff after stiff and his biggest test to date was freakin Collazo.

Pac vs. Berto is STILL a future option, so lets not go overboard yet. Bet in the meantime, Berto needs to beat someone with a pulse.

Jmm vs. Pac III had it's window, but as Pac grew, the window closed.

 

Arum obviously knows JMM isn't a WW and neither is Manny. Pacman can't make 135 yet he can't make 147 either. More excuses from Arum and can't blame him for protecting Pacman from JMM. Berto is the fighter Pacman should be fighting if he wants to keep campaigning at WW which he really is not. Pacman should easily make 140-145. JMM is the top LW and not too long ago Pacman was the top 140lber. Pacman and his team know the lower they go in weight, the higher the risk a fight with JMM would be. That's why it is convinient to do it as high as possible with a fighter like JMM.
