LOL the first lewis-holy fight was close??!!!! that is an utter joke - Lewis won that by 5 round going away!!??? That's well known to be one of the biggest roberies in history?? And a further LOL holy of the first Bowe fight was the best he'd ever been - that was the fight where he proved just how great he was - and the fight where he really had to
i know that lewis won the fight, but it was close, not a beating, and evander was a shot,a prime evander would expose lewis, simple. what **** are you talking? the best evander fought buster douglas and foreman.
What is the source for these rankings? ---- If these are truely Joe's, then I'm impressed by his appreciation of Jack Johnson, given that there was some bad blood between Joe and Jack. (For that matter, I'm also impressed that Jack Johnson, regardless of his grievances against Corbett and Jeffries, never, to my knowledge, trashed them as boxers -- he always showed professional respect for their abilities and accomplishments, which I think was classy on Johnson's part).
I don't think Holy was shot in the rematch, he managed to be competitive. He was shot from the first Ruiz fight onwards though.
:rofl:rofl holyfield was 34 and 35 when he faced tyson in 96 and 97. he was 37 in 1999 and 38 in the year 2000. he had problems with his heart years ago... he was a complete shot.. the best evander faced foreman and douglas. he was competitive at this time imagines a prime evander.
I got that list from this article : http://news.google.co.uk/newspapers?id=rb0aAAAAIBAJ&sjid=GEcEAAAAIBAJ&pg=4693,2054138&dq=joe+louis+george+foreman&hl=en It's from February 1977
