I was never impressed by Pascal. In his fight with Dawson, Dawson didn't seem like he wanted to be in there and he barely won that. He never looks great to me. He needs to keep Bute's name out of his mouth, because if he gets that, he's getting beat up for real.

Hopkins knows what he knows, he is a smart man. He knows that if he doesn't get a rematch right now against Pascal, the belts will change hands, and the rematch will lose his meaning. He won't be a champion at 46 he would only be the 46 y old man who beat a former champ.

Talking about taking the credit away, last time I check did you see the match? Cause if so, Hopkins was the first to have an interview, I guess you closed your ears when he started to talk because it was painfull to hear a 45 years old crying like a 12 years old.

Maybe that's you talking about, taking away the credit?

And how about you rewind all the prefight conference, Hopkins was talking **** in Toronto against Pascal after Pascal in the first prefight conference in Quebec gave credit for Hopkin's career.

Dude, it's ok to think Hopkins won, but don't lie like your hero.

And by the way, saying that Hopkins is a dirty fighter is taking credit away from him? haha Like he wasn't lol

Hopkins main concern isn't the rematch, it is winning the title and becoming the oldest fighter in history to do so.

If Pascal lost his next fight, Hopkins would quickly forget about him.

I'm not a Bhop fan but I watched this fight because of the possible historical significance. The fight turned out to be far better then I thought. Bhop did not fight dirty or negative in any way.

However, while I understand the level of Bhop's anger toward the decision, it is not the outrage that say Holyfield/Lewis was or even Malignaggi/Diaz one was. Is this all Bhop using a Malignaggi like post fight complaint to get a rematch?

If that really was Pascal at his best versus Bhop then I doubt he has much of a chance in any rematch regardless of where they fight. Bhop has already KO'd Pascal's mind.

You know before the fight happened I was thinking that this was Hopkins chance to absolve the Jermain Taylor fights. Pascal and Taylor aren't quite the same, but they both relied on having fast hands, had stamina issues (for Taylor this was uncovered in the first fight with Hopkins), and are not really counterpunchers.

I don't think Pascal throws many punches because his stamina is pretty weak. Why he doesn't go to the body? Who knows.

B-Hop certainly has won the mental battle, but I disagree with you. To me, this was a clear enough win for Hopkins that it WAS on par with Holyfield-Lerwis I.

More sour grapes from Bhop. It never gets old listening to him whine and complain. He insults his opponents, never gives them credit.

yes, i scored the fight for Bhop but it was close. Maybe his old ass shouldnt have gone down. If I was pascal no way would I give him a rematch.

First, age shouldn't be a factor, if you're 55 then retire, so Hopkin's age shouldn't be considered so much.

I'm not a boxing expert, yet, I and my friend paid 80$ to see this fight. The consensus was that it was a very close fight. We were biased towards Jean Pascal though and we're pretty satisfied with the decision.

Honestly, I thought 114-112 Hopkins or 113-113 or 114-114 were all good calls by the judges. Cannot put Pascal ahead though.

Hopkins clowneries and his attitude towards the end could have influenced some fans cards. If you claim that your opponent is sooooo crappy, you should be able to beat him undoubtedly. He might have led the fight by his ''going forward'' style but it would have been disappointing to see such a sloppy win in a championship match by a supposed legend.

You do realize he's trying to hype a rematch right?

If Pascal is half the warrior he claims to be (and that I believe he IS), he will do EVERYTHING IN HIS POWER to get Hopkins back in the ring ASAFP!
    :yep
