###The Miguel Acosta express!### Onwards and upwards to Lightweight glory!

Arum said that the Acosta-Rios winner would likely be matched against the winner of an HBO pay per view televised, May 7, MGM Grand rematch between WBC lightweight champion Humberto Soto (54-7-2, 32 KO), of Tijuana, Baja, Calif., Mex., and Mexican-born, Urbano Antillon (28-2, 20 KOs) of Maywood, Calif.

"Brandon Rios will be fighting Miguel Acosta on Feb. 26 at the Palms in Las Vegas on Showtime. The winner of that will fight the Soto-Antillon winner. The Soto-Antillon fight will be on the under card of Manny and Mosley," said Arum.


Looks like we can put a Linares fight on hold for the moment.

 

Judging from his last few fights Soto seems to be slipping a bit, and Acosta already has the beating of Antillion who is pretty limited and doesnt seem to have made any improvements. Either way, looks like he's picking up another belt!

He hasnt even fought Rios yet and this express is already chugging along strongly!

Criminally, Miguel has been ranked 80th by The Ring in their ''Ring 100''. I suppose he'll get a big lift for next year.

And will somebody please tell them that his record is 27-3-2 and not 27-8-2.

 

Turns out he's a huge ****. I was a fan of his but then he slagged off Roach's Parkinsons......
