    No, MAB and Morales alone are better, IMO. Let alone JCC.

    JMM is without a doubt ONE of the best though, a true wizard and an ATG, imo.

    jmm is a great fiter, but there are mexican greats that rank higher.

    I clearly remember the 5th round to the Alli fight..Chavez was taking a breather through out that round, just jabbing away at Alli, until the last 30 seconds of the round, Julio moves it to second gear and begins to beat the **** out of Alli, nailing him with sick combinations to head and body as if he was just letting him get more confidence and making him believe he had something of a chance before brutally bringing him back to reality, and letting him know that he's not ****ing around anymore!

    actually, everytime i read or hear 'mexican boxer' let alone the best, Julio César Chavez comes to mind first.

    I love JMM but it's debatable whether he's the greatest Mexican boxer of his weight range in his own era.

    Alot of people feel like Max Kellerman, that in the strongest era of featherweight boxing, Marquez was the best of the bunch, thus the best featherweight of his era.

    Let it be noted that a strong case can be made that the only fight Marquez has ever lost was to Floyd Mayweather at two weight classes past his current weight.
    .......none of the other fab featherweights can make that claim.

    Likewise, Marquez can't claim to have defeated such opposition as an undefeated, P4P rated Erik Morales at 126lbs, in addition to an undefeated, P4P rated Naseem Hamed. The circumstances for those fights not happening are of no interest to me, it's in your interest to suggest that both were scared stiff of fighting Marquez, who had lost to Norwood, but that's speculation. In any event, Barrera beat better fighters at 126lbs than Marquez did, and therefore I consider him to be the greater Featherweight.
