You dont believe that is his motivation. You know the truth, people dont drastically change their behavior and bhop has been doing this for years. He has always been defensive when anyone criticizes him and he ALWAYS whines when he loses.

Bhop has no one to blame for this decision but himself.

I 100% full heartedly believe that B-Hop is undoubtedly trying to start promoting the rematch immediately.

I have no doubt about this, none whatsoever.

Whatever goodwill Bernard earns in the ring, he loses when he opens his mouth.

Sergio Martinez was very badly cheated in the first fight with Williams! I did not hear him complaining so much as Hopkins. I had the fight 112-114 Pascal, same as Tarver. Hopkins went down two times in that fight! Why did it happen. He did not win every round after that either.

I had it 115-111 for Hopkins, and the WORST I can see it is 114-112 in favor of Hopkins.

I really can't see giving more than 4 rounds to Pascal.

    Just my honest opinion.

Well, taking a quick look at your location, I can venture to guess why.

You have the right to score the fight for B-Hop. But if you can't even see how it could be a close fight, you have scoring problems.

What were the TV ratings for Showtime? 1 mil? 1.5 mil? Somewhere in there?

I heard it was their best rating in 2 years.

I said it was a clear win for Hopkins and I standby that fact. The body language of both fighters at the fight's conclusion reinforces my belief. It was EXACTLY like the first Holyfield-Lewis fight in that regard.

The fighter who looks relieved to hear "draw" usually knows he was given a gift whereas the fighter who looks "shocked & dismayed" usually realizes he just got hosed.

This is EXACTLY what happened this particular night.

I am a fan of Jean Pascal. I think he is a great fighter, and he has come on our radio show for 4 interviews including 3 since August 2010. I think he is a stand-up guy, a great talent, and a true warrior.

All of that being said, he did NOT deserve a draw. This was Hopkins' night, and I think it's a damn shame he was deprived of the opportunity to make history.

A Pascal-Hopkins rematch TOPS my list for fights I'd like to see in 2011.

You can downplay my honesty all you want, but I always call fights like I see them and would be more than happy to explain my reasoning for my scorecard on any round (which I have already done in some detail here at ESB).

Hopkins won this fight, despite the fact two judges officially ruled it a draw. The majority view reflects this fact. Even though the fight was ruled a draw, one fighter's stock rose (Hopkins) and the other's took a big dive (Pascal).

Those are the facts, and I think they are objective to any unbiased observer.

I have been lucky enough to conduct hundreds of boxing interviews during the last two years. My views may not always be "right", and people are free to disagree with my opinions.

I am, however, honest in the depiction of my views, and despite your claims of "shame on me", I am not ashamed to describe what I saw unfold inside the squared circle on December 18, and what I saw was an old warrior got jobbed on the scorecards against a young champion who was thoroughly outclassed by the old crafty veteran.
