    Mathis really looked like he could go onto be good after the Chuvalo win, but Quarry put a halt to that. He ruined many contenders to the throne, and separated the best from the rest. The likes of Lyle and Shavers learned their lessons from Quarry. Mathis, Spencer, Foster, among others, were never the same again.

    Can someone tell me how many top 10 heavyweights (Ring ranked) he beat and lost too. I bet thats one hell of a long list.

    no I don't think so, Foreman didn't excel against slick counter punchers like quarry, morso I think foreman would have trouble KOing quarry.
    Foreman could still get a win by cuts though. Quarry cut like tissue paper.

    maybe, maybe not. Quarry would make foreman look amateurish and stupid IMO

    how many times do I need to repeat that Liston was past prime and out of shape. Ali shouldve won that fight either way

    Jerry Quarry versus a Sonny Liston in decent shape,,,,late 1968 was almost
    signed, sealed and delivered.

    West Coast Promoter Jim Pusateri was so-close to getting it done.

    Then Liston looked too good versus Henry Clark,,,,,,,,,and POOOOF!
