Props for putting him against tough opponents, Molton aside I guess... I didn't see the Hearns fight, but how's Delray's motivation nowadays?! Is he still hungry enough? Must have been a sad Christmas last year...

I kind of like Delray Raines, he's obviously not the most gifted fighter to embrace the sport, but he's fighting some very talented young guys like Lemieux, even though I didn't wanna see him against Lemieux, or Hearns.

I don't think his record is all that good, he should look to get some wins under his belt and slowly but surely build back his confidence, then put him in some FNF card or something.

No Mid level guys will fight Raines unless its on a few days notice.
Raines has never had an amateur fight and has no promoter. All he has is
the Dream and me ! So I think he is doing fine learning the game.He is not
a journeyman he is still a beginner and learning the ropes on the job!

Well fortunately he was only knocked out once in his career , And that
was in Exhibition against ****** Flanagan years before I trained
him.The fights he has been stopped in were nothing more than
stupid mistakes on his part and mine ,The fight with
David Lemueix was a mistake all the way around and we paid
for it , He will never take a fight like that with out
training or sparring and losing 30 pounds in 10 days !After being in active
for months. And the Hearns? His nose was shattered and the fight was
stop,Its healed now ! So he is ready , He simply wants to be a fighter, And
after this fight if he should lose ...then it all depends on how he loses,
After he fought James Buddy McGirt I told him to hang it up, I said you
don't take it serious enough to fight guys like this.He then
talked me in to training him , And changed he his life.He became a real fighter Sparring ,
Training and things started looking up as far as his ability ! But the
last year we slipped , But still no one will fight him except top guys !

Well the kid has heart, and I do wish him the best of luck against Lara, who has some serious skills due to his vast amatuer background. I can't see Delray even landing anything significant on Lara, or making it past the fourth to be honest.

I would much rather see Raines matched up with someone like Jose Cotto. At this stage of his career.

I hope so too, but the man is just a bad decision maker. We are talking about a guy that got out earlier this year & went back in like a week later. With his style, he most likely won't have a long career, so he needs to hold it together for the next few years & get that money

Of course I would like to see him in with a lesser guy.But thats not an
option for him , Fighters like Harry Yorgey , or rematches against Hearns Jr. ,
McGirt Jr. or a Carson Jones would be great. But those guys will not fight us.
All that happens is we wait for fights like that and the inactivity is nothing
    but hurt us !

You know, I might actually like your boy if he was humble, but after what he said to Lemieux before their fight, he's just a little *****.

Screw him. I hope Lara shatters his nose to death again.

Can you explain why he has 3 NDs vs Flanagan?
