Al Hostak was a much better version of a Gerald Mclellan fighting in a talent rich division of Tony Zale, Freddie Steele, Fred Apostoli, Solly Krieger
Billy Conn, all great middleweights of the 1930-early 1940 era. Each one would be a champion today. In Ace Hudkins, Hostak would be facing the
Mysterious Billy Smith of earlier times. A tough, rough in your face brawler
who feared no one from middleweight up...What a fight that would be.. A toss-up for me...

    Thanks, Burt.
Always enjoy your take on guys like Holstak and Hudkins. Hudkins must have been a wild man.
