Yeah, I also saw him putting it on Jacobs prior to landing the knockout blow.

    Pirog is the truth.

Yeah man he's a little rough around the edges. Its good to see fighter that come to the ring bringing that sort of killer instinct and pressure.

Sorry man, I couldn't help it

No doubt, he's a killer. With every bully type fighter I wonder if and how long they can maintain that on the world stage. If you bully a bully...

Of course there is no way to predict this further adding to the excitement I have surrounding his career! He strikes me as strange man though, he seems rather quiet and reserved in the interviews I've seen of him then in the ring he sort of turns into this killer, dare I say he reminds me of Oscar in that respect?

As an open question. What the **** happened to Rock Allen?

You don't know boxing then. His balance, timing and technique are sublime. He's gonna be a very difficult fighter for anyone to beat.

Also regarding your comment on amateur and pro boxing, yes you would of been right a few years ago but with less points scored now and longer rounds it is alot closer to pro boxing. The top amateurs now have excellent inside skills aswell. Lomachenko with stamina over 12 rounds beats anybody around his weight division in pro boxing.

His fighting spirit, I would not question. As Drozzy mentioned, he said no to the olympics because he wanted to become a pro really bad. Actually, he wanted to turn pro at 17 but it is forbidden by the law, in Quebec. He is an extremely serious boxer, one will never see him on drugs or stuff like that. Even when he scores a sensational KO, he keeps all his concentration!

As for his chin, I saw him get clocked right on the button a couple of times, and usually all he does is step back, smile a little and bully you. That being said, I never saw him get tested to the body. Could he resist to a Cotto/Bute type of belly shot? We don't know.

You just described pretty much all prospects, thus the title 'prospects' - unproven talent.

Each are varying level of progression and age. But the point is they are all yet unproven in the elite level, hell even the C or B level.

Naugler went the distance with a 19-0 Chad Dawson, and this fight vs Lemieux was at SMW for the Canadian title. David's only fight at SMW if I recall correctly.

1st vid - 9:30 - Anber isn't dumb. Counterpunching, especially when in-fighting, is one of David's developing abilities.

    ____________

2nd vid - 1:20 - David's stamina isn't a problem. At all. Could have gone 15 rounds at that intense pace, he says. Watch the whole vid anyways... Naugler's arms are 'really sore' from absorbing all the hooks, and the bruises on his face are priceless.

I think Anber pushes the envelope a little too much when he says David showed great versatility in the fight... he's oh-so-correct on the in-fighting part though.

I just think Golovkin at this point is at a higher level. Two big punchers, both have great punch accuracy, Lemieux has the edge on speed but I feel Golovkin has the superior timing, and I think defensively he's a little more rounded and I think his amateur pedigree converts to great ring smarts. Lemieux has shown problems with a consistent jab in the past [Donny McCrary] but nobodies been able to put enough a great enough resistance to maintain it.

Ayala also gave Lemieux a big of trouble when he came forward and threw combinations backing him up. I don't feel Lemieux can really fight going backwards and I think Golovkin is a little stronger and would probably be the one of the front-foot and be able to control the tempo and keep Lemieux off-set with his jab and counter shots to stop Lemieux putting together forceful combinations.

I do like the look of Lemieux though, obviously very-handed handed, he's got excellent composite punching skills overall for such a young prospect but he does get a bit over-excited at times and starts hitting gloves and forearms and expends too much energy trying to rush geting his guy out. He's still a bit too hittable for me aswell and I find his defence very basic.
