I thought hopkins got robbed. I thought he won all the rounds from 4th to 12th. But this is not about that. I just want the Floyd fans to speak up and tell me what do you think of hopkins?? Is he special or a PED user?? I mean this guy is 46 yrs. old and is trading hayemakers in the 12th round against a young strong guy in pascal.

He's 46 not 86. Trick is to keep yourself in good shape and live a clean lifestyle and you can still be strong and competitive on a high level. Guys like Evander Holyfield, Randy Couture, and George Foreman are good examples.

He doesn't drink or smoke like you do

He eats vegetables, exercises, while you like the burgers/steak/porkchops and if you do exercise, it is a regular joe type of exercise not on an athlete level type

He is a well conditioned athlete while you are a regular joe that is also exercising or maybe even an amateur boxer but still won't be enough to match the lung capacity/fitness of a living legend ATG

Everyone starts threads about this now after I started mine a few days ago...

They closed my thread for a reason I ignore and deleted another one again today....

Bottom line, it's not unnormal to question such stamina for 12 full rounds at 46 and I don't care how much the guy takes care of his body...he's 46 fighting at the top level of his sport looking like he was 15 years younger.

Hopkins has never been such a high workrate kind of guy and he fought the Pascal fight with as much or more energy as he's done in the last 8-9 years.

Actually I don't recall seeing Hopkins pressing the action and chasing an opponent non stop since the DLH fight in 2004 and Hoya was obviously the much smaller man coming in so that was a natural.

    It's disrespectful.

And **** you. Stop tryin to ruin a man's character. Obviously you're new to the sport.

Bernard Hopkins consistantly talks about how his career is attributed to discipline.

On top of that, guys like Mackie Shilstone said that Hopkins was THE MOST DISCIPLINED ATHLETE he has ever worked with. This is a man that has trained HUNDREDS of TOP athletes.

    I told you so...

I hope the boxing commissioners start cleaning up our sport before its image gets tainted.

Please support Olympic Style Drug Testing. Floyd is always one step ahead and has forseen such a stigma could happen.

It is happening now with 46 year olds! I hope the powers that be in boxing realize this and nip it in the bud!

Discipline my ass. Ain't no way a 46 year old could stand toe to toe with a 20 something boxer. History has never witnessed such.

Unless he is into something. Yes that's the plain truth of it.

I've been following the sport for 20 years now. Thanks for your respect..very appreciated since I don't know you of course and never had any arguments with you either....

My initial statement early in the week was about a double standard when it comes to Pacquiao. Hopkins can fight like a 28 year old, throwing as many punches as ever for 12 full rounds and chasing a strong young man for 12 full rounds also while he's 46...and that's just him living right but Pacquiao doing the same with his circumstances, is not normal....??

    Hyppocrisy at it's best !!!

Not only is it disrespectful it's age discrimination! So if I take PEDS can I get in the ring and kick everyones ass? I wish
Hopkins earned everything he got. I don't like his jailhouse personality but there is no denying he's a great athlete and a true warrior :good

I was out of line with the "**** you" statement.

But what happened to innocent before proven guilty? And I don't think Pac is on PEDs.

It sure points to that conclusion. Look at Pacroid. Look at Amir Khan.

Now look at this 46 year old exchanging blows with a prime boxer. Sorry but that is the truth folks.

Show me something in boxing history that supports this feat of his and I will take my doubts away. As of now....he is GUILTY OF USING PEDS. :good
