"Hah, in my day fighters were great. Today's boys are a bunch of pussies! Boxing today is a sham!"

Isn't it funny how the cycle continues? Anyway I see Jeff flattening Byrd with something. Can't run away forever.

Chuvalo was stronger and more durable than many he fought, including
    Corletti
    Ellis
    Mathis
    Terrell
    Patterson
    Cleroux
    Folley
    etc.
    This is boxing not wrestling.

It is an interesting question that you have inadvertantly stumbled upon. How do you think Jeffries type of training would suit a 15 round fight. Clearly (well unless i am mistaken) he trained for stamina more so than Byrd. Do you think that this type of training would work in the modern game? Personally, i think it would help, particularly in a 15 round fight, but even in a 10 or 12 round fight, but that is just me.

I wonder whether Chris Byrd would be better prepared or worse prepared for a 15 round fight if he adopted this training method.
