Do you really believe that Lewis chose to fight Mercer at close range?

Mercer forced his way in with his heavy jab & relentless pressure, thus forcing Lewis to fight him on the inside for most of the fight.

If Lewis can't keep Mercer from getting inside, neither would Wlad, & since Wlad is worse than useless on the inside, he would be in serious trouble.

Mercer lasts but loses a closer UD. Mercer was really good, and his jab would give Wlad hell but Mercer was a very hot and cold fighter.

    Irrelevant. :nono

It says "Prime for Prime", so the best Mercer from the Holyfield & Lewis fights should be used.

Mercer on his best night would stop Wlad.
That said, even in his prime Mercer had some lackluster performances. He would absolutely have to put on his A game to beat Wlad.

Peak Morrison is far more devestating & skillful than '03 Sanders, '04 Brewster & '05 Peter.

Wlad would keep Mercer away with his jab.

Wlad would beat him much more clearly than Lennox did. Wlad is better jabber than Lewis.

    :rofl:rofl:rofl:patsch

Lewis has the superior jab, proven against quality opposition, unlike Wlad's.

Lewis was in a transitional stage after the McCall loss, slowly rebuilding his credibility as a contender. He was still very much a puncher around this time, foolishy trying for a KO instead of looking to box. The more displined Lewis of the Holyfiled and Tua fights would probably win a more comfortable shut out decision over Mercer. This wasn't even the best Mercer, he was overweight and had been inactive for over a year.

hard to gauge how good your jab is when the comp you're facing stands right in front of you waiting to get hit offering little to no resistance, lennox lewis actually fought live bodies and his jab was very much effective going against these guys. so again, no he isn't/wasn't a better jabber.

Mercer is getting over rated when he got it somehow close Fight against Lennox.:yep

He would lose the Jab war against Wlad.
