Don't you guys think Khan has far more important fights out there than Prescott?? He's fought a puncher in Maidana and beat him, why should he give Prescott a shot at the title?? he should work his way up if he is serious, by taking on a tougher class of opponent at 140.

It just makes no sense at all.

Maidana hits harder than Prescott, and as one dimensional as he is, is a better boxer than Prescott.

What does Khan need to do? Fight Peterson/Juda in March and then Bradley/Alexander in July/August.

What does Prescott need to do? Stop fighting bums and avenge his loss to Mitchell.

Khan doesn't want any part of Prescott, ever again. Believe that.

Khan is a bit immature for 24 years of age. If he thinks Presscott is a bum he should fight him. In fact, if he should try to avenge his defeat regardless, and stop being a "Haye" about it.

So Prescott needs to avenge his loss but Khan doesn't?

No Prescott just needs to get on with his career, he can't just jump the cue. He needs to prove he can hang with the best. Khan has proved that, Prescott has not.

He's still a nobody at world level. He got outboxed by Mitchell, a guy Katsidis smashed in 2 rounds. Prescott hasn't even stepped up his level of opponant because he found his level when he fought Mitchell. The guy needs to stop living off the Khan knock out and if he is serious about boxing, he would rebuild himself like Khan did, and work his way up again.

i understand what you are saying, but the fact is, Prescott beat Khan, so it doesn't matter how his other fights turned out.

Call him a bogey man, a nemeisis, if you like, but ignoring him doesn't make the situation go away. If Khan considers himself half as good as he thinks he is, he should avenge his loss. Simples.

Prescott fight would sell better than the nobody Peterson and do a lot more for Khan's legacy.

I am certain Khan would easily outclass Prescott in a rematch, but I would still like to see it happen, and Khan should too. Prescott will always be the guy that sparked him in less than a round otherwise. No-one talks about how Lewis lost to Rahman or McCall because Lewis avenged his losses and with some style. That is what being a champion is all about, not matching up with feather-fisters and barely clinging on against also-rans.

I think Khan is still a bit spooked tbh. It's not just that he lost to this guy but he was utterly demolished in front of the whole world. I doubt a week doesn't pass that he doesn't think about it.

I just I have one simple question for those people still waiting for another Khan KO:

If Khan can take flush shots from Maidana and still not hit the canvas (and dont give me the Cortez bs, he got it multiple times before Cortez came in), do you really believe Prescott has a chance forcing Khan onto the canvas?

I would really like an answer to this, as there is some serious lack of boxing knowledge being used here to justify this fight.

Maidana was too tired to finish him.

Cortez got in the way just as Maidana was about to finish him.

If it was a 15 round fight Maidana would have KO'd him.

    etc etc etc

Bonus: Prescott is a better finisher than Maidana and also a better puncher.

(I think that's all of them)

I'm a huge fan of Amir Khan but Prescott owns him, he wiped the floor with him in 50 seconds and Khan gets upset at even the mention of his name. It's better for Khan to continue ducking Prescott, his nerves would be too high for that fight and he would get caught with some crazy **** again. Khan needs to continue fighting crude sluggers or skilled boxers with no power, but just not Prescott, and definitely no fighter that has skill and power.
