Ali was a completely shot corpse against Berbick, & was pushing his "punches", it was a depressing fight to watch. :verysad

 

Agree. But that he could make it at least a bit competitive against a young contender at that stage I find quite impressive.

I think the first fight with Liston was like him dominating Williams, except with an actual legendary fighter.

 

rez, are you ranking fights or purely performances? cause while i agree with your list, i can't go for frazier 3 or shavers in their positions. he looked damn beatable against shavers and while the frazier 3 was a tremendous performance and show of heart, he certainly looked more dominant against folley, williams, terrell and patterson in their first fight. in frazier 3, they were both 4 or 5 paces from their best

 

Richard Dunn fight was a pretty good performance from Memory, and Bugner an ordinary one.

and tyson´s best preformance was against berbick and spinks in my opinion. and he was not fighting against no legend either.

 

But neither of them had a .357 slug in the belly...

 

good point and that's what could keep the williams win down a peg. let's be honest, he looked BRILLIANT against brian london but no one rates that win cause it was brian ****ING london

 

Yeah, that's pretty much it.

Interesting about that fight is that London said he could get up, but knew he'd probably cop a bad beating if he did, so he stayed down.
