No Technically he is Fedor's equal but the mindset of wanting to finish each fight and taking risks to eliminate the opponent is what separates them.
hardcore UFC fans would say yes... mainstream MMA fans would probably say no. In my mind, it really doesn't matter. Is Klitschko vs. Haye set yet?
I think so. I think Fedor is overarted tbh, he was losing to that big 7foot guy before he got the arm bar in. Silva is amazing but I think he struggles to make 185 now, his performance against Griffin was amazing but he has not found his feet since moving back down. This fight should be made imho since it is as much of a disadvantage to both and I think GSP could realistically win. Also Gsp enjoyed a size advantage over Penn so it is only fair.
No, because they are totally different. GSP doesn't have that fear inspiring aura that Fedor had. GSP is probably a better overall Mixed Martial Artist, but Fedor is something else. It would be a little bit like comparing Sugar Ray Leonard and a Prime Mike Tyson. We all know who was the better fighter but I know which one I'd rather watch.
sorry, just jumping in before this gets moved. i think he's in fedor's league after that...he'll be in the 2nd tier ATG mixed martial artists along with Frank Shamrock and Igor Vovanchanchyn. Fedor will hold the mythical number 1 spot but GSP will be right behind, just one step below
