A peak joe louis vs a peak lennox lewis

  1. Well, in my opinion noway lewis would survive against the best louis who destroyed schmeling in the rematch. If you put joe louis in the place of bruno you get lewis ko, simple. The brown bomber got great combinations, he was ****ing great finisher, lewis was a great fighter, he would handle louis with his size and the jab early, but lewis did not have the chin to take the combinations from louis, it would be the key factor.when louis catch lewis, it is over, joe would finish him, by ko in 5

  5. Are you not agreeing with each other?

I think Lewis would win, probably by KO!

    Great fight either way though!

  6. yes man, this ******ed did not read even the post. What a piece of **** hahaha.

  7. ****ing heeeeell ! Lewis KO 3rd round , ya'l that think Louis stands a geniune chance are crazy Lewis was way to powerfull for Louis , not even a close fight ... you can ridicule what i say that its nonsense but its jus a fact , Joe Louis was great...in his era , Lewis would end the fight trust me

I bet you are a fan of Floyd Mayweather Jr.

  9. you are very wrong, frank bruno was a joke compared with louis, and lewis was a drunk in this fight. Louis would finish him for sure. Carnera was by far more powerful than lewis, and much stronger. You can say that lewis was better fighter but not more powerful.

  10. the frank bruno fight simply a bad night for lewis u cant just use that example , how about the Lennox Lewis that destroyed Golota i cant see Louis withstanding to much of that

Louis is a horrible match up for Lewis. Lewis is far too big to avoid getting hit by Louis and in far too cautious to do a great deal of damage. Louis, to me, is unlikely to get knocked out by one punch but with Lewis its possible. Louis was better at recovering during a fight and Lewis's size IMO will be a disadvantage vs Louis

I do feel Lewis would keep Louis away for a few rounds, but once Louis lands a six punch combination, its all over IMO. If Lewis tries to attack Louis, there is a good chance that Joe catches him with a big right hand or an amazing combination. And there is no way Lewis is keeping Louis away from him for 15 or even 12 rounds

    Louis tko 7

And you cannot compare Carnera to Lewis or Golota to Louis. Carnera is a joke compared to Lewis. Lewis was a big skilled fighter with alot of power. But i just dont think he'd fight that agressively vs Louis since he would be perfectly aware of what would happen if Louis catches him.

I do quite like Lennox and he is a top 10 atg heavyweight for me. But i feel Louis is one of the worst matchups for him

As for size, Evander Holyfield wasnt much bigger then Louis. Louis at his peak was about 6'1 and 207 lbs, about 10-12 lbs lighter then Holyfield. The difference was that Louis had a longer reach, far more power and far greater handspeed. Holyfield was neither a puncher in Loui's class, nor were his hands anywhere near that fast.

  13. lewis had several bad nights, against rahman, mccall, bruno.
Lewis was a great fighter but hIS only fault was his chin, any great finisher would take advantage of this fault. are you comparing golota with joe louis?well, if you are talking about power,, carnera was stronger than lewis and more powerful and louis destroyed him, if you are talking about skill, louis was better fighter than lewis. Louis by ko. Always in my opinion.

  14. if we are talking about power and strength , yes we can compare them and carnera was stronger and more powerful.

Lewis lands a right hand that Louis was vulnerable to, and finishes him quick. Louis' defense was pretty average.
