DREAM Dynamite 2010!!!!!!!

Discussion in 'MMA Forum' started by scurlaruntings, Dec 23, 2010.

  1. Only if you believe the myth that TOP HW = MUST BE A UFC FIGHTER. The fact is that there are allot better HW fighters outside the UFC who have not been given the recognition they deserve by Zuffa biased media. Instead these Zuffa biased media promotes undeserving fighters like Lesnar, Carwin and Mir as legit HW fighters.

  2. Apart from Fedor who might be able to at least match it trading strikes and has a better ground game than Ubereem..................JDS and Cain simply doesnt have the arsenal to even come close to Ubereem in the striking department and doesnt have the skills and experienced in the grappling department when it does go to ground.

Ubereem isnt unbeatable but he certainly wont be beaten by a JDS or a Cain.

  3. In that case, Ubereem will expose any UFC HW for a weak chin.

Stop. Just stop. No one ever said Duffee was any saviour. But the fact is the UFC were touting him as a serious prospect. Overeem did exactly what was expected and annihilated him in 19 seconds. As for Rogers he was a top 10 ranked opponent. Additionally If you want to blame someone for Duffee's hype blame the UFC.
You can rubbish he's victorys all you want but name me ONE light heavyweight who has moved up in weight taking on men 250lb and handling them with such ease.

So tired of hearing this. Overeem is more than competent enough on the ground. He's an ADCC calibre grappler and is very good from guard. He has a wide variety of subs from Kimura's and Keylocks to armbars and his infamous Guillotine. Its high time "fans" actually watched some of his fights to realise this instead of repeating this fallacy.

What is it with all the Rogers hate? He is a serious fighter for God's sake! 2 loses... The Reem and Fedor and people make out he is a chump?! WTF!

    So what are people saying?..

Fedor Emelianenko > A Nogueira > Werdum > Alistair Overeem > Belfort > Wanderlei Silva > Rampage Jackson > Machida > B.J. Penn > Renzo Gracie > Frank Shamrock > Bas Rutten > Kevin Randleman > Cro Cop > Ron Waterman > Valentijn Overeem > Randy Couture > James Toney > Evander Holyfield > George Foreman > Joe Frazier > Muhammad Ali > Sonny Liston

So we are saying this? I'm confused?

    Is Rogers better than Slice?!

Duffee is garbage. Totally damaged goods only a couple real pro fights in. Russo must be a nightmare he can't escape every night.

Overeem was really a no lose situation but it was embarrassing nonetheless for Cream Puffy Duffee.

Overeem has beaten far better standup fighters in K-1. When your strength is striking, you don't want to be matched up with a kickboxing world champion if you can help it.

It wasnt embarrassing at all. No one gave him any chance, or if they did it was to come out swinging, and thats what he did. His glass jaw was already known, and the uberknee to the gut would have crumpled many fighters. Duffee gets nothing but respect in my eyes

I give him respect for taking on that monster but he sucked ass and is only hurting his career by taking big KO's like that.

Yeah it was a stupid thing to say, blame it on the drink, Reem's got a solid ground game, and has been working hard on it. He has no weaknesses, his opponents are ****ed

Overeem has weakness's. But he's conditioning and chin have got so much better since he's move to heavy. Right now he is though one of the most complete and experienced heavyweights in MMA.

Don't get me wrong, if Fedor ever fights Reem I will be pulling for Fedor and would'nt be surprized if Fedor flattened him with a single punch. But reem is the real deal.

I don't know about knocking out in a single blow. Badr Hari was able to rock him/drop him. But with that Growth Hormone head and manga-like traps he won't be getting KO'd in one punch.

Mabye not. But Fedor's past opponents have said he hits fast and like a ton of bricks. One properly placed punch shuts lights out. I think Fedor vs Reem would be more competative standing than some here think. Reem gets the edge in kicks, knees, Fedor easily has the better hands.
