Would this be possible? I mean the division for the most part lacks in the history of the 8 original of course, but we've still got the likes of Arguello, Mayweather, Elorde, Nelson, Chacon, Boza Edwards, Pacquiao, Chavez etc. But could we extend it and include the likes of Pep, Saddler, Kid Chocolate, McLarnin, Canzoneri, Armstrong, Sanchez, McFarland, Saldivar etc? So we have a host of top names? I'd appreciate some feedback as to whether this would be a possibility. Cheers.

True, forget about that. What about some of the other names? Do you think it's a possible idea?

Where's JMM Tommy? Delahoya fought twice there, not sure if that counts as he'd be drained most likely.

I'd like Casamayor in there personally, you can make the argument for others in his place, but i was a bit of a Casa fan so i'll nominate him

Was gonna ask for suggestions. Looking at hopefully at least 24 names, so feel free to add up as many as you think can realistically take part. I'd like to know if people think the likes of Sanchez and Saldivar could possibly be considered despite having never fought at the weight.

I wouldn´t include fighters who fought under a different ruleset.

Mitchell should definitely be in there actually, forgot all about him, i've only seen a couple of his fights so that's probably why, but i was very impressed, he's got a weird style, he looks like he's not going to be very good simply because of his stance, and then when he goes to work you see his skills, which were really fuelled by his workrate and energy, he could cut the ring down pretty well and his head movement sort of worked in conjunction with it, in sync kind of, he'd out hustle a lot of fighters at the weight.

So would it be a stretching it a bit to try and include all the top names? I mean the likes of Canzoneri, McLarnin and even Benny Leonard and Duran all weighed in at 130 or less at some point while they were around world-level, should this be strictly for more natural 130lb fighters? Is it a bit far to add in those who never weighed as high as 130 aswell? [I.e. Sanchez and Saldivar]

I think Canzoneri naturally was a 130 pound fighter. I wouldn´t include fighters who never fought there. Hard to judge how they would do. And like I said, I woudln´t include fighters like McFarland because they fought under a different ruleset. Also to hard to judge. And I wouldn´t include fighters who only fought there when terribly young, like Duran. I wouldn´t start with 24 either. To get 24 fighters you´ll have to include some good fighters who would stand no chance to win, like Chico Coralles for example.

yeah it would be stretching it a bit if they never had a fight at top level at the weight.

here's another question though if a cruiser-weight tournament was held would marciano be included for me he should, but what do you think
