Lennox Lewis: the Clever Con-Artist

    He hid in England until all the best HW fighters were past their primes, and that's undeniable.

    In England, he got knocked out by his only live opponent (Oliver McCall), exposing a fragile decanter chin.

    In America, he fought good names but not good fighters.

    First, a 35 year-old overweight cocaine addict named Tony Tucker. Tucker had been the HW champ, but was only a shadow of his former self at this point (14 pounds heavier than he weighed when he fought Tyson for the undisputed HW championship). An easy points win.

    When David Tua knocked out Hasim Rahman in 1998, he weighed 224 pounds. Only when Tua became a fat bum in 2000 (245 pounds!) did Lennox decide to fight him. Another easy decision, since Tua was too slow to get close.

    In 1999, a 37 year-old Evander Holyfield was no match for Lewis, having already been through too many wars with Tyson, Bowe and others. Lennox couldn't knock the man out, but beat him on points.

    Against an overweight and completely shot Mike Tyson, it took Lennox 8 rounds to get the job done. Note that Tyson weighed 234 pounds here. Compare that to the 215 pounds he weighed when he brutalized Larry Holmes.

    Against Hasim Rahman, his glass jaw was once again shattered by one punch.

    When it became obvious that Lennox was ducking Wladimir Klitschko, he decided to fight Wlad's slower, older and less talented brother Vitali. Then he retired before Wlad could find out where he was hiding.

    How on earth can you compare him to any of the great HW champions?

    Tyson ducked him, Holyfield ducked him and Bowe ducked him. He wanted to fight them but they didn't want to fight him, so blame them for the fights not happening closer to their primes.

    He has the best heavyweight resume post-Ali.

    Lewis ducked Wlad?

    He fought Vitali because Wladimir had lost to club fighter Ross Purity and fat golfer Corrie Sanders. He fought Wladimirs tougher brother who only had one loss, which was from injury. After Wlad's 2 losses, he was rated very low, and his brother was seen as superior.

    And I'm not saying this because I disagree with what you are saying, I'm saying it becuase it's true - You are a shockingly bad poster. An awful contributor to this forum. You act like an over excited child, slagging off boxers here and there. You are a fool who no-one takes seriously because of the utter crap you spout. Stop polluting this forum.

    3. So Lewis added a contractual clause to force Tua to come in overweight?

    4. Holyfield was regarded as the best heavyweight in the world when Lewis fought him, joint best with Lewis at worst.

    6. Lewis fought Vitali on two weeks notice.
