Craig Watson schooled Matthew Hatton when they met. he beat him so easily hatton contemplated his boxing career.

watson is on a good run atm, and is fighting for the british belt vs O'Donnell next month. I think Watson will beat O'Donnell and surely this sets him up for a big rematch with Matthew Hatton?

unify the british and european welterweight belts.

In my humble opinion, Watson is the only real blight on matthew's record. I know he lost a few times early on, but by the time he fought watson he was seen as a rising contender who might achieve something. He needs to avenge that defeat if he is to be taken seriously, especially if Watson's good run continues.

If Hatton did beat watson, it would underline his readiness to step it up a notch and maybe try for a fight with Kell Brook.

either way i'd say Watson and Hatton seem to be on a collision course.

I usually post in the general forum, but I wanted to see what followers of english boxing thought about this potential matchup.

Can Hatton defeat Watson? Is he really one of the best in Britain? Does the match even have any relevance?

what are your thoughts british forum?

I think O Donnell will win this on Fat Micks show.

The last fight was very close, and Watson says his preperation was bad, but maybe it's just an excuse, who knows. It should be a good fight, but i think Watson will win clearly.

Did Hatton put a bid in for this fight? I would not be happy if I was Watson fighting on his terms again after being robbed last time.

Can't see it. Magic will be looking to move on towards a "world" title shot, not prove he wasn't just lucky against Watson last time they met.

I no its Hennesey promotion what I meant was did Hatotn put a bid in to stage the fight, as Watson was robbed on the same terms last time and he has to do it all over again.

I suppose a watson fight might be seen as a step backwards for matthew, but a belt would be on the line and he hasn't proved himself domestically yet so there is genuine call for the fight imo

i was at ringside for this fight , no robbery involved, i scored it a draw, if you think that fight was robbery, lets just say that if all the decisions in boxingwere at worse as bad as that then the sport would take of altogether, and shed all the dodgy alegations from there onwards.:think:good

this will be odonnells second awkward s/paw in a row, so he's getting used to them, Watson is good and he's a game fighter, he will go for it early in this fight look for the ko, if he fails the second half will be odonnells, i go odonnell close decision, may have to get of the canvas to do it!:good

watson is a more natural fighter than hatton, ie better head movement, more awkward in a natural way, barring cuts, watson will always beat hatton, and hatton will always have big trouble with the watsons of the boxing world. WATSON PNTS, bit harder fight than last time.:good

Watson is a great talent and a clever fighter its a shame the way he's been managed into obscurity

i think he's with the hattons, wich if he beats odonnell could lead to a conflict of intrest. IF IT HASEN'T ALREADY.:think:good
