a fight to see who the next big prospect will be from our shores.

it is a toss up in my opinion. both are quite unproven and inexperienced. fury has a win over mcdermott and chisora has wins over sexton and williams.

i honestly have no idea how it goes. fury could try to use his height and dominate behind a jab (he is with steward now right?) or it could become a brawl.

i would like to see the winner take on sprott before stepping up to the next level (dmitrenko, sosnowski, helenius, povetkin, chagaev etc.)

i don't think there will be much call foe either to fight harrison, harrison will try coming back in vs a top opponent IMO and will lose IMO.

so if this gets made (afterall fury is chisora's mandatory) who takes it? i'm gonna say fury, but that isn't definitive at all.

I think at this time Chisora. His intensity and style would be bit to much for Tyson who is still trying to get consistency.

Tyson falls a sleep in fights and can get lil crude and reckless. He can be very good at times but over a 12 round distance against a come forward agressor who's fighting more and more matuerer at this point i'd say Chisora wins in a good fight but takes over in middle rounds and wins.

Tyson already showed signs of learning under Manny and i feel Manny will try get him working more on technical aspects as well as keeping him active and in learning fights. Most Heavyweights don't peak this young anyways and Manny knows this and will look to nurture him.

Once Tyson gains consistency in his work and sticking to a plan over long course of a fight then he can beat Chisora but that will be a while yet. In the McDermott fights he shows great heart and will but his works scrappy and messy and his conditioning poor.

He just doesn't have enough at this point to keep him off. In time once he develops his skills and understanding i think he can beat Chisora on points. Fury's a tough kid! and he's still a baby compared to most Heavy's.

Lots of work to do but he does have ability and Steward sees that.

Fury is underrated. He has all the tools to be a pretty good boxer now that he has Steward in his corner. Chisora is a tough cookie too but if Fury prepares properly and is dedicated he will beat Chisora when the time comes. Fury has way more potential than Chisora. It's just a matter of fulfilling it.

there is a lot of work to do with both fighters.

chisora looked bad against sexton early on, but soon realised sexton couldn't hurt him so just walked him down till sexton wilted. would fury wilt the same way? i don't think so. could fury hurt chisora? that is impossible to say but i think he hits harder than sexton does.

very even matchup considering where both are in their careers.

Unfortunately I can't see this being made for a while at least. We all know the problems with different promoters. Plus I can't see Chisora having a decent fight for a while now because he will probably keep pricing himself out and believing he's more deserving than he actually is after the Wlad pullout.

well fortunately fury is the mandatory, so either way he will benefit. cisora better not start believeing his own hype yet. the guy is no where yet.

Chisora should some real class at times as well in that bout. I think Tyson's not to far off but needs to be more stable. At times even in easy bouts he will be boxing well and then start falling apart and scrapping.

Already i saw a difference in the Page bout. He was sticking to basics and trying to keep his feet balanced.

He's not to far off but if they were to fight in six weeks time i'd say Chisora wins because he just has a bit more know how and understanding and consistency with his work.

Tyson would win in future imo (if he develops under Manny's tutor-ledge). :good

I don't think Fury has enough power to beat the top heavies. Whether or not Chisora is a top heavy remains to be seen. Having seen Fury struggle with McDermott i would back Chisora to stop him.

I think Fury is starting to look better and he showed a good will to win in the McDermott fight.I think he would get the better of Chisora. It would be a close fight but if I were betting Id back Fury.

Yeah true but we all know what the mandatories are like. The British ones usually work out ok though so here's hoping.

As for the fight itself, I'm really not sure how to call it yet. I think you've got to slightly favour Chisora but I wouldn't be quick to write Fury off because he's got the size and hasn't really been tested much yet.

chisora will vacate, i see your point but tysons problem doesen,t lie with boxing tutalige, his balance is good, etc, but most of the time he's fighting on takeaways and cakes, yes experience will help him, chisoras problem is fury wants his title bad, wich means he will make sacrafices outside the gym, and to be strait that means he wipes the floor with chisora. fury was going to fight sexton in his 3rd fight, sexton turned it down, he sparred rogan at 16, no fight there neither, its a small pool of brit heavys, and lets just say they get to share rings outside of fighting, TAKE IT FROM ME, CHISORA DEFINATLY DON'T WANT ANY PART OF FURY.:good

i honestly think that some people have increased their rating of chisora solely off the fact he was scheduled to fight wlad.

IMO fury's victory over mcdermott is about as good as chisora's over sexton. not as good, but good enough to compare.

i'd say right now, behind haye, sprott and sosnowski(if you rate him with the brit fighters)

chisora and fury are next in line. they are on a very even standing atm but i think fury has too much for derek at this point.

In my case no, In 2010 i started to see a serious Chisora and he brings a lot more to table then Fat John really who really and truly in second fight was poor. Fury even at times in that fight looked like he was on way out due to gassing.

Fury can beat Chisora but Chisora ain't McDermott. He has a lot more about him and his win over Sexton was pretty good IMO. Nothing amazing but he upped a gear on Sexton and took him out.

I think Fury will beat Chisora in time but i think if this fight was made in early part of 2011 i'd side with Chisora. I'd like to think even Manny will tell Tyson to stay active and progress and by late part of 2011 see how he's developed technically and tactically as well as physically and then make the fight if development has been sufficient.

I think there's every chance that Chisora himself and his team will believe he's more accomplished than he actually is because he was scheduled to fight Wlad. But I can't see too many on this forum overrating him because of this.

The fact is that Chisora has so far done more than Tyson Fury.

Obviously it doesn't always work this way but Chisora beat Sexton who beat Rogan who beat *cough* Audley. Fury's best route is beating John McDermott who nearly beat a not quite fully finished Danny Williams. That's about it.

Apart from that they ain't much different and should definitely fight early next year IMO. I agree with Mandanda that at the moment, Chisora would probably get the win but in a year or so's time, I think Fury would be better suited to win.

I just realised what I put might seem a bit dismissive of the posters here, I didn't mean people who follow english boxing. I meant casual fans or more global fans.

People who know about the domestic scene already have their own opinions, but people who don't follow english boxing closely will think "oh he's gone from fighting wlad to fighting some gypo, he'll easy kick his ass"

It is a hard fight to call but I do believe it definitely should happen next year.
