Hoppas been charged with assault of the other brother but has nothing to do with the dead bloke.thats the other bouncer.
hoppa was there doing his job primarily. he didn't go completely out of his way with intent to kill somebody.
I have to say, the bloke Hoppa hit only had a thick lip & some superficial grazes, which indicates to me that he did not get the full brunt of Hoppa's capability & i think that any lawyer worth his salt will simply point this out. That he was only protecting the other bouncer & just gave the bloke an attention getter. As I've said, the reporting on this is disgraceful. I'm not defending him but Hoppa never touched the poor bugger that died. It was his offsider that bashed him, yet nothing appears to be said about him. There is nothing about doing your job primarily when you leave your place of employment, it is not in his job description to chase people down and assault them on the street.

It matters to everyone that he left his place of work to deliberately assault someone. He is a trained fighter with registered fists, I have no time or sympathy for thug bouncers working with a pack mentality.
Mate, don't you think you're making some assumptions here? You may have more info than me so I'm not being critical but the day I believe what a daily rag says, will be my obituary. The word they used, "Chase" does not indicate the distance, which in this case they (Media) may want to conjour up to excite the news. You can "chase" somebody away with little or no movement I'm always alerted to "Journalistic licence" & there has been plenty of that regarding Hopoate in this unfortunate event. "Assault" can be used for someone that is just using sufficient force to protect person or property, until a court determines it's application as being correct. I'm not disagreeing with your opinions on a worse case scenario, I'm just being very wary of the media's interpretation that's all.
hoppa chased somebody? do u know he did? it also doesn't matter to u that a knife was reportedly pulled by one of the patrons? so the fact that the patrons were a group means that it was unfair that they were allegedly chased by a group of bouncers? so if these bouncers were the ones threatend that means they were the thugs?
that was premeditated.they shot the man ****ing Deans old mans missus.this was probably a David Hookes like incident fell from a punch,head hit the ground in bad position.but if they were leaving the premises and Hoppa and mate followed them different story i would imagine.it will all come out at the trial plenty of witnesses apparently.
Dunno why people want to bag Hoppa's boxing career....he's gone real well for someone who got into the sport at a belated age....and Wombat...you are a wombat for comin' up with a headline like that....as bad as half those dickhead journo's.
