    ...his activity!

2010 - 2 MMA fights (both for belts) and 5 K1 fights (tournie)
    2009 - 3 MMA and 4 K1 (tournie level)
2008 - 4 MMA (should have CC in his win column) and 1 K1 (5th K1 bout and against Hari!)
    2007 - 4 MMA and 1 K1
    2006 - 5 MMA

He already has 46 MMA fights and 14 K1 bouts and he is still 30 so he should hopefully have a good 5 years left in him.

I really hope Overeem gets to fight Feodr, Barnett and Werdum soon!

It was funny wathcing that cringe-worthy video of Dana claiming that The Reem was a joke... he was talking like the UFC fighters have 6 fights a year and The Reem never fights.

    LOL @ Dana!

True. Overeem's MMA fights have been a joke this year. He's doing the equivalent of the Holyfield retirement tour.

Brett Rogers and Todd Duffee are both semi serious fresh off of KO losses decent fighters.

    I still rate Rogers.

He is no Muay Thai fighter though... just a brawler. More skills than Bob Sapp or Brock though.

Pretty soon his bicep or pec snaps, I'm afraid. Nearly impossible to stay in that condition all year long while taking so many fights.

It really does show you that the boxing model we see in the US today with guys fighting a couple of times a year is all about profit rather than competision.

Really the key to Pride's sucess back in the day was that they kept their big names so much more active than the UFC do today, the roster as a whole wasnt nearly as deep but it didnt need to be.

The reality is that K1 has been Overeem's focus for the last couple of years and he's fought a very high standard of competision there.

Fans like fighters who fight and this is why Reem lost to Hari but people didn't start screaming chinny or overhyped. They can't hate on someone losing to an elite fighter because at that level it comes down to execution and its hard to be on point every time.
