No. These fights would not have been washouts. Though at 160 Ray Leonard wasn't nearly the same as the frightening specimen he was at 147 where he beats pretty much anyone if he fights the right fight. Hagler I feel would be a good fight though I can't help but see Hagler forcing Hopkins to fight at a pace he really didn't like and with all that switching he did and his physical power and strength... Hearns had GREAT boxing skills. Like great great. His reach and long power punches and speed would have caused Hopkins all kinds of problems in my opinion. If Hearns can outbox Leonard for 13 rounds I don't see why he couldn't do so against Hopkins despite Hopkins skill.

Leonard don't have puncjhing power so there's no way bernard respects him.

Leonard knocked guys out from junior welterweight to super middleweight.

You really need to shut the **** up.

segundo mercado and jermain taylor could do what leonard , hagler and hearns couldnt.....

    stfu douche bag

hopkins is a great fight , but alot of his wins at middleweight were no names or guys who made a career at 154 and 147

another example of a newbie trhead that shouldnt happen

Hopkins would've taken them to school because he would've been a bus driver had he been around in that era.

Hagler is a Light Middleweight by todays standards, and had trouble with boxers on their back foots. SRL and Duran gave Hagler difficulties, and early on in his career so did others who didnt exchange with him.

Also Hagler is 5 ft 9, thats 4 - 6 inches shorter than Hopkins, and Hagler wouldnt have had a reach advantage over BHops.

Hearns and Mugabi went toe to toe, with Hagler and got beat, Hopkins fighting of the backfoot would UD Hagler.

Hearns would be KO, and SRL being an ex WW, that was Hopkin's forte.

can't believe people are saying hagler hopkins is a 50-50 fight. hopkins is a tough fight for anyone but theres no way he beats hagler at middleweight.

hopkins would stand a very good chance of beating hearns at middleweight because he has the chin to take hearns' bombs and if you've got that then you've won half the battle with tommy because there was always a point in a 12 round fight where tommy gassed and got put on ***** street. hopkins has a good defence and is good strategically, i think he stops hearns at middleweight around 10 or 11.

If Hopkins beats Hagler, Leonard and Hearns, then allow me to add that I'm Barbara Walters.
