    1. Belts. The Association shall adopt a World Championship Belt as a distinctive symbol for the Champion in each recognized weight category. These belts shall be awarded to the champion recognized by the Association.

    2. Super Belts. Similarly the Association will grant Super Belts to those champions that make 5 or 10 (if it was the case) successful defenses of his title. These Super Belts will be named after those champions that have been able to defend their title 5 or 10 times. See Appendix C for a listing of boxers who are qualified for a Super Belt.

    18. Super Champion Status. In exceptional circumstances, the Championships Committee and the President may designate a Champion as a Super Champion. The President and Committee may establish criteria for a Super Championship. In such a designation, the
    Committee President shall determine
    conditions and requirements of defenses and retention of such a title, including, but not limited to, the following:
    a. Mandatory defense period;
    b. Sanction fees, including purse fees for both title and non-title bouts;
    10
    c. In what manner and at what time an official contender for the Super Title
    shall be named; and
    d. Such other conditions as the Committee and President deems warranted.
    An official contender for a World Championship Title shall not thereby be considered to be an official contender for a Super Championship. A Super Champion who loses a title or non-title bout shall have no right to be ranked thereafter in his category. If the Committee and President designate a Super Champion at the time the boxer is a World Champion, they may also suspend the provisions of Rule C.27 and other rules applicable to a World Championship inconsistent with the conditions and requirements under which they have designated a Super Champion. If a President and Committee designates a Super Champion, the vacant regular title need not be filled.

    - When Ward beat Kessler for the WBA title, it should have never been called a "Super" title. Kessler was making his THIRD title defence, not his fifth.

    - The same night that title was rebadged as a "Super" title, Sartison won the "Regular" title. Why? That night, the WBA chose to designate the winner of Kessler-Ward as "Super" champ but didn't observe the 'the vacant regular title needs not to be filled' rule. Furthermore, there was no good reason for upgrading the title; Kessler was at defence #3, and Ward hadn't beaten ANYBODY of note beforehand.

    What pisses me off is that the WBA actually chooses how to determine the contender to this so-called Super title, and establishes regulations that pertain ONLY to the Super champ such as mandatory defence period. That's ****in BS. Why even hand over a Super title to a guy who wasn't even worthy of it as per their own ****in rules?!???

    Ward's schedule is being driven by Showtime, and that's a good thing. Who knows how long before Sturm actually defends his Super title against a Super contender. Golovkin will wipe the floor with N'Jikam face, he should then get awarded that Super contender status.

    Again, Golovkin & Sartison shouldn't even be title holders right now. As per the WBA's own regs...

    He's trying to be fed as the next American Superstar, so he get's what he wants :patsch. I dislike him and wouldn't mind him losing.

    His style is annoying and the headbutt's are terrible.

    It's all about the money.

    It's not in the WBA's interests to have just one ''champion'', especially when they can get three, fees for those and fees from fighters in eliminators too.

    Until fighters turn round and say ''**** you'' like Floyd did before the Shane fight it will only get worse :deal

    That's what Martinez is about to tell the WBC... tells every media about how he wants Pacquiao or Mayweather. Or Chavez Jr, strangely enough. :lol:
