To add on what Tackle said, last year's thread had 350+ pages on it. That's a lot of posts and that is a lot of traffic, the only thread I think had more posts in a thread was the other boxing prediction in the lounge. Plus, I have said numerous amount of times and can't stress this enough that this thread is the number 1 reason I still come on ESB. It is a nice breath of fresh air when I come on here, going back to what Tackle said, there aren't *****s or *******s or any other 8 year olds arguing about nonsense. Everybody in this thread are really boxing fans and we all love the sport and to conclude, Kirk is one person and he has done this for 4 years (going to be 5 this year) and the time and effort he has put in to keep this thread going is amazing. Plus, looking at his join date he has been here since 2004 and I think it would be respectful and it would reward a longtime member on this site if you sticky this thread.
Hi kirk . . . remember me? I lost my old password . . . so I have to create a new account. Now I'm psycho II. I'm a newbie again. :yep Are newbies welcome here?
I heard Braehmer is sick and the fight with Shumenov is getting cancelled. Not 100% sure yet though. SUCKS
WBO light heavyweight champion Jurgen Brähmer (36-2, 29 KOs) was forced to pull out of Saturday’s unification clash with WBA champion Beibut Shumenov (10-1, 5 KOs) in Shymkent, Kazakhstan due to an acute gastrointestinal illness. Brähmer and BDB President Thomas Pütz, another member of the five-person German delegation both fell ill. “A few hours after arrival in Shymkent, both came down with severe diarrhea with nausea and severe vomiting which lasted all night,” explained Dr. Michael Ehnert. “This caused severe headaches and abdominal pain. Jürgen was particularly so weakened that he couldn’t train and it’s not possible for him to be able to compete for a world title in a few days. Due to the unclear cause and ambiguous symptoms, it was decided immediately to arrange for a return to Germany this evening to head directly to the hospital after landing for treatment. So far, we have only a vague suspicion of the cause. Jürgen and Thomas Pütz were eating together on Sunday afternoon near the hotel and that evening they complained about the first symptoms, which really hit them on Monday.” :fire:fire
I ****in knew it, I heard rumors of this last week from a friend. That's why I didn't even put in a vote for the matchup. atsch
I was seriously looking forward to this fight. This blows big time. I'm telling you if Bradley/Alexander is cancelled or even just postponed, I'll probably do something I'll later regret..
