I think strength in legs can enhance your ability to take a punch, but some people seem to be able to take a punch better than others, and somehow it doesn't seem to run in the family, just look at Oliver McCall and his glass jawed son. Mandibles are peculiar, hard work is the only thing that'll help people RECOVER from a crack, look at Tim Bradley, he fell like a sack of spuds against Kendall Holt and recuperated in no time! He looked very coherent like Froch against Taylor. And Bradley also has sticks for legs. :think
A fantastic thread that shows just how tough the British and European scene is. Some fighters get protected and taken down the international route like Hatton, rather than have to really show themselves as the best in Britain or Europe. Its such a tough route that many of these fighters get ruined by the time they have made it past that tough level though.
Khan didn't take hard flush shots until the late rounds, when Maidana had used up most of his energy. The shots you see landing flush in the 10th round have very little power behind them.
