People need to stop questioning manny and appreciate what they see

That's like asking Boston Celtics fans to appreciate the LA Lakers skills and accomplishments. Haters gonna hate. They are not really boxing fans, just fans of their favorite fighter. This applies not only to Pac, but any great boxer with a big following. The poster right above me is the biggest example.

 

As long as people can appreciate Floyd also and stop hating on who he chooses lol

 

No doubt, but the fact not only of him letting a simple blood test get in the way of him making millions, but THE fight that would stamp his name as one of the all time greats in larger letters if he wins, hard to ignore.

 

His story is very inspirational, along wth his development as boxer, especially his in and out motion and ability to create short, direct angles through these rhythms. He made me a believer during the Cotto fight, what a ****ing speed demon. I swear you can see the fury in his eyes when he fights. I love his style although I do hate his recent style of opponents. I want to see Pac challenged not by a puncher, but by a boxer who can keep him at range and make him pay for coming in, tie him up close, rough him up inside. Pac is phenomenal mid-range, I wanna see him in there with somebody who can work around this. Where the **** is Mayweather when you need him, ey?

 

I agree...let me just say this..PBF picks and chooses cause its all about the money at this level that he his at....not to mention in my opinion, he has earned the right to do that.

Manny has now reached that level with PBF and the fact of the matter is he does the same thing floyd does just in a different way, and i feel he has earned that right too. Floyd bamboozles the fans(no promoter), and pac has someone to do it on his behalf(Bob Arum). More than one way to skin a cat but the results are the same.But they are handling their business, so i cant knock that too hard. I have accepted that from both fighters so i sleep well at night. What i will call manny out on is his perceived "simpleness" when it comes to his handlers, as well as telling us he fights for the fans and that it is not about money...Cause now you are peeing and telling me its rain. Because im a "real dude", i can appreciate floyd saying " i dont give a ****, i fight for money". or him not caring what we think of him.

At the end of the day both cherrypick, not because they are scared but because of their status. Sometimes i hate it sometimes i dont. I see thru PBS BS and Pacs BS (keeping things in perspective), but i always enjoy their fight because they both put on a brilliant display of skills. Im happy that one is so defensive and one is so offensive. its two dif worlds. People need to enjoy these two because i dont foresee it being anything like them around to soon.

 

I disagree I get bigmoney fights if your not rich or at the end like martinez but when you are already loaded and well paid you should take the best fights.

Well, ODLH was in the same boat except he realized that the BEST FIGHTS MAKE THE MOST MONEY. He could've cherry picked bums but he made the fights that made the most sense win or lose. If Floyd (or i guess pac too) were really about the money they would not be scared to lose at this stage in their careers. What more do they have to gain besides millions?

 

i used to critisize manny alot... and alot of it was due to his fans

but ive become a fan recently... the determination he puts in to his craft , even at his level is second to one.... and even then its tight

hes a humble guy who wants to help his people , whether it is his style of fighting or wanting to get involved policticaly and help sort out his country himself

although his recent fights have been questionable , they are still entertaining and at weights people would of laughed at a few years back

his team seem to be the problem but manny as a boxer and person is something that dosnt come along often
