Pacquiao vs Mayweather: The Cold War...

    ...considering they will probably never fight, I think their legacies will still be based on each other from now, until the time the both hang up the gloves for good.

    Everyone knows the Cold War was between the U.S. and the Soviet Union, and was never fought directly between the two superpowers. It consisted of proxy wars, military tension, economic tension, and political conflict...

    ...this - in boxing terms - will be what happens with Pacquiao and Mayweather. They will continue to be judged on what they do compared to what the other guy does or doesn't do, i.e., who fights who, who's win was bigger, ect. ect...

    ...this fight has been "in the works" for almost two years now, and has thus far been nothing more than...a Cold War. So. Who is winning the Cold War so far?

    Let's say the Cold War began when PBF fought Ricky Hatton...

    PBF dominated Hatton, handed him his first loss...

    Pacquiao knocked Hatton out cold with a single punch...

    Pacquiao dominated Cotto, beat him to a pulp...

    PBF retired, then came back to dominate JMM, a guy Pac struggled mightily with...

    Pac fought and beat an uninspired Josh Clottey...

    PBF took a fight nobody thought he would, and outclassed Shane Mosley...

    Pac beat the hell out of a man who outweighed him by 18 pounds, and stood 6 inches taller...

    PBF is currently having legal troubles, and has no fights in the works...

    Pacquiao is scheduled to fight Shane Mosley, a 39 year old 9-1 underdog, who was already thoroughly whupped by PBF...

    So there you have it. The Manny Pacquiao - Floyd Mayweather Jr. Cold War. Who is winning so far?

    I personally think Pacquiao is currently winning, but him fighting an over the hill Mosley who was already dominated by Mayweather is a severe blow in Floyd's favor, and if Mosley somehow wins, it just might win Mayweather the war...

    If Manny agrees to full random testing then we have a fight. "Floyd Mayweather"

    ‘Amir, I will never take a drug in my life, but when he is demanding tests every day it’s mental and I’m not ready for that’.
    Mayweather is winning this hands down. Arum and Roach both said Mosley was shot to **** and they are fighting him.

    Haha, great analogy. If the fight never happens it will be just as anti-climactic as the dying down of the Cold War.

    No doubt Manny's winning the PR battle. Though was never going to be too difficult with Mayweather just ****ing about and only making trouble for himself.

    both are equally losing, mayweather's just a douche so it makes it seems like he's "losing" but in the end everyone's "losing"
