This is for those who don't know what cherry picker means.

"Cherry picking is the act of pointing at individual cases or data that seem to confirm a particular position (Margarito has a chance he was once feared), while ignoring a significant portion of related cases or data that may contradict that position (he got caught cheating, had a long lay off, new trainer, catch weight, etc)."

Both fighters have beem extremely shady these last few years and have only fought fights in which they have no chance of losing. Neither get any respect from me.

The difference between Pacquiao and Mayweather is that Mayweather doesn't even pretend his opponent has a chance against him, he just straight up picks someone who it's obvious has no chance and who were never that good to begin with i.e Baldomir, Judah, and Gatti.

Pacquiao's cherry picking is the complete opposite. His tactic is to pick fighters that were once good and look like they have a chance to win, but only if you had no context and ignore a "significant portion of data that may contradict that position" This includes catch weights, their performance in the last couple of fights, age, mental state etc.

The only conclusion we can draw is that his tactic of cherry picking has worked and fooled the mindless sheep who continue to defend his selection of opponents while ignoring all of the evidence clearly showing the fight is a horrendous mismatch. If Pacquiao was as good as the sheep think he is why does he have to resort to these tactics. Real fighters like Mosley and Cotto will fight anyone at anytime, not wait like a vulture to strike only an the most opportune moment.

Mayweather has done it for the most part of his career. Pac has done it for his last couple of fights.

Mayweather was promoted by Arum for the overwhelming majority of his career so if its anybody fault its Arums. But who exactly did he cherry pick.

uhh hes cherry picking the fight with mosley? Last year after dominating margarito pac's team wanted nothing to do with mosley. But after seeing mosley getting his ass whooped by mayweather and an ugly draw against mora, now they find the right time to fight him :-(

But i do agree that everyone cherry picks their fights at some point to keep there career alive and to keep there winning streak going. Its all about making the boxer look good.
