The reptile people wanted Valero dead because they thought he had a very good chance of KOing Pacquiao(the flagship reptilianoid), so they murdered his wife first and then killed him to make it look like a murder/suicide.

Judging solely off the De Marco fight, I was very impressed with Valero.

 

Demarco had both of those and valero boxed his ears off in the second half of that fight

 

He definitely would have made alot of noise in the 140lb division. Would love to have seen him take on Maidana.
