Name me fighters from 135 that could beat DLH, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey and Margo consecutively in dominating fashion. You could also include the lww's if you want. The Truth is Pacquiao fought them all despite being undersized and dominated them like no other. He just showed he can compete competitively and dominate at higher weights where guys at lw and lww and even at ww didn't dare to prove us that they can. If they call it cherry picking for picking bigger guys, then let us see guys like Bradley/JMM or Berto fight Cotto/Marg and let's see if it's that's an easy task for them, after all "they are cherries, right?"

when Pac was a super bantamweight, he moved up to 126 and with no tuneups at featherweight fought a the universial champion Barrera and the WBC champion Marquez back to back in a span of like 4 months.

    what a cherrypicker.

Pac fought OScar, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, Margo and now Mosley back to back

    what a cherry picker.

Why? Martinez is the next best fight out there for Pac outside of Mayweather.

Yes, he poses a very great threat, but it's still a realistic fight. And it's always a good thing for boxing when the p4p no. 1 is looking for the biggest threats.

Pac's certainly not ducking him if he chooses not to go down that path (not at this stage, anyway) but Martinez, despite not having a huge name, is the only other real legacy type fight out there for him at the moment (not to mention a 9th weight class, if the title is still allowed to be on the line at a 154 catch weight).

I still am of the opinion that JMM is another legacy type fight, since the majority of people feel he won the 2nd fight, in 2008 (a year a lot of people say Pac's prime started), and despite it most likely being different at the higher weight class, would still do good for Pac's resume to 'avenge' his 'win', if that makes sense.

Floyd Fought Baldo( linear WW champ) ODLH (154) Hatton (Undefeated), JMM, and Mosley (WW champ) but he is questioned, if he can be questioned, why not Pac?

    Thank God he is fighting!!!!!!

Berto can wait. If Gayweather is not available this year, there is no other fighter except Berto in his division unless Pac woulod cherrypick those 140 pounders.

In the meantime, there is one good agenda ---- retire Mosley!!!!!

    Pac the retirer -

That's what I respect and I give Pacquiao full credit for those fights, but that was before Arum unfortunately

I did not like the idea of it. It was disingenuous IMO, in the sense that it was being used to gain some sort of cheap advantage, not to help even the playing field. Pac is the better fighter between the two. That much is obvious. He could've proven that without the C/W nonsense. It would've been more meaningful to me. But, if you feel differently, fine. I'm not here to change your mind. It was still a good fight and a good win for Pac. I'm not saying it wasn't.

Fair arguments, for the most part. I'll agree to disagree on the whole Cotto situation. It's not that I'm such a die hard fan of Cotto, I've just seen Freddie in enough interviews to know why he nitpicks over weight so much.

Well, if it was at full 147, then Cotto would've had the advantage fighting a guy who weighed in comfortably at 138. Advantages can go both ways. Like I said, Pac was testing the waters. Then look at the Clottey fight. It was at 147.

Pac already tested the waters against ODLH. He knew he could fight effectively at 147; because, he'd already done it. The C/W, in this case, was a cheap attempt at placing Cotto at a disadvantage, IMO...and for a title at that. Facing Clottey at 147 doesn't make it any more acceptable to me. Like I said...it was a good win. But, there's, obviously, room for criticism.

I wasn't sold on the Oscar fight. If you're saying that he already tested the waters against Oscar and it was a true WW fight, then I expect you not to be one of the naysayers that Pac doesn't get any credit for fighting a weight drained Oscar.

Why is fighting Clottey not acceptable? People bitched about Pac fighting the guy that Clottey arguably beat (Cotto). So Pac went on to fight that guy. He dominated both guys on consecutive fights.

Those who claim Pacquiao is a cherry picker better tell the boys at lightweight & lww to go and cherry pick Cotto & Margarito! If they have the nerve to challenge those guys, let them feel what CHERRIES taste like.
