everything about tyson (except how great he was), his speed, upperbody movement, strength, punching power, ferocity, punching arsenal, punch volume and chin.

it may sound like a less popular choice, but im gonna go with ike ibeabuchi. not as explosive or as great, but ike had good punch volume, physical strength, punching power, chin and ferocity. except the physical strength, i cant say that any of those attributes where better then tyson, but that is my best guess.

who was the most similar to tyson.

You guys remember former welter Jm contender Larry Barnes? Dude fought alot like Tyson and was short like 5-4 only think is he couldnt punch, but hey he got a couple title shots but didnt do to well getting stopped somewhat early by Trinidad and later Yori Boy..... Another guy was a fringe contender/Prospect Rickey Myers a white kid that looked like a poor mans Tyson. I remember seeing Tyson (on Tv) in the crowd and getting a kick out of Ricky Myers who eventually lost to Zack Padilla and??? awas never heard from again.

Tyson was almost a hybrid of Jack Dempsey and Floyd Patterson, imo.

What about...The "white Tyson" Ruslan Chagaev? No? Oh, well. Okay. Fine.

It's a nonsense comparison, draw up by moronic Klithuggers.

    :huh :nono

I prefer watching Patterson to Tyson, he was somewhat smoother and more fluent while using the same style.

Actually, that´s how Chagaev called himself or his promoter did, anyway, he was promoted as "the white Tyson" long before a fight with Klitschko was on the horizon.

I already knew that, but Klithuggers love to say Chagaev is similar, to support their arguments that Wlad beats Tyson.

Personally, I don't think they are similar at all.

I didn't say that RJJ, Berto, Gamboa and Tua were as similar to Tyson as Patterson or Dempsey but they were similar in one way or another. You've got to admit that Berto and Gamboa do show flashes of a prime Tyson...no?

No, they certainly aren´t. And yes, Tyson would obliterate both Klitschkos. Wlad has a small chance if he really overcame his mental issues with pressure.

No, they don´t. They´ve got fast hand and decent to very good power. That´s the only thing where they compare. SRR had both too, was he similar to Tyson, too? Or Ray Leonard?

If either of them have a (very) small chance, it's Vitali, becuase at least he has durability, chin & stamina to fight at a good pace.

Wlad would fold early like a cheap deckchair.
Saying "if he overcame is mental issues..." is like Stonehands & his "if Golota had overcame is mental issues, he would be an ATG" theory.

Wlad always had those issues & always will, becuase he knows how fragile he is & that all he can do at close range is 'clinch & lean' which even then depends on the referee, since it's technically against the rules.
