No. I said that Joe should have travelled like Kessler did, if he wanted to fight better opposition.

When did I ever argue that Kessler had a better resume than Calzaghe?

Why don't you adress my point which was that Calzaghe should have travelled for fights? Do that please or keep trolling.

So you are saying that Calzaghe shouldn't have travelled more to enhance his legacy simply because a guy named Kessler did not?

    Ok.

no...you were saying that calzaghe should have travelled like kessler did. you said it here.

so i pointed out that calzaghe DID travel just as much as kessler did.

are you ******ed or is this a wind-up? :patsch

If you care to read the thread then it should be clear, even to you, that I think Joe should have been willing to travel to fight the best (I mentioned Ottke, RJJ).

The fact that Kessler travelled to fight the best was just meant to say that some boxers do travel. Now you can argue that Joe travelled for Hopkins and Jones but we all know that that version of Jones had been shot to **** for ages. Although Hopkins was older that was a good win definetely.

So my point, again, was that Joe's legacy could have been better, had he been willing to travel to fight the best.

@ People questioning him fighting Lacy, Kessler and B-HOP.

Go back to that timeline and tell us who else should he have fought?

He went out of the sport fighting RJJ, which sucked, should've fought Dawson instead. That I will always hold against him, but he did the most of his time in the latter part of his career, with the exception of RJJ.

rjj was never an viable option until after he was shot. ottke imo ducked calzaghe but at the very least was difficult to negotiate with (& as someone else pointed out...even if calzaghe had beat him he wouldn't be considered any more of a top scalp than lacy or kessler...or even mitchell or brewer or reid who were all VERY "unlucky" not to get a decision against ottke). b-hop blatantly ducked calzaghe AFTER a deal had been agreed that would have seen calzaghe go to the us to fight him. who did you want him to travel to fight? :huh

yeah. but kessler didn't travel any more than calzaghe did so your whole point is bull**** & certainly not a "fact".

"argue"? there is no "argue". if you count kessler going to oz to fight the mighty mundine or even travelling to the us to take on isreal ponce as examples of "travelling to enhance your legacy" then yeah...moving up in weight & taking on the recognised number 1 at 175 & p4p no.3 in his backyard is "travelling to enhance your legacy".

like i said...you're entitled to your opinion; but if what you say to back up your opinion is bull**** then don't be surprised if someone points out it is bull****. :hi:
