Dftaylor: Fair play for your reply. I understand what you’re saying. David Haye has his reasons for his behaviour over the past two years. Haye’s behaviour is understandable but you should also consider the past two years from Wladimir’s perspective. It is reasonable for Wladimir to be pissed off with David Haye?

When it comes to double standards, let’s look at what you say. It’s fine for David Haye to call out the Klitschkos in 2008, to call them bums, to disrespect them, to wear a t-shirt depicting their decapitated heads. It’s fine for Haye to sign to fight Wlad in 2009 but pull out with injury or because of the Setanta situation. It’s fine for Haye to then not sign to fight Wlad when his injury healed, or when he got a new TV deal, but to fight Valuev instead. It was fine for Haye to fight Audley Harrison because, even though it was a joke of a fight, it made Haye lots of money. It’s fine for Haye to claim to be the ‘heavyweight champion’ when the man he beat had already lost to Chagaev, who had already lost to Wladimir Klitschko. It was fine for Haye not to fight Wladimir for a long period of time having called him out.

But after all that, it’s not fine for Wladimir Klitschko to say a big “**** You” to David Haye when Haye finally decides he does want to fight. It’s not fine for Wladimir to honour his agreement to fight Chisora, an agreement made when Haye didn’t want to fight Wladimir. It’s not fine for Wladimir to fight Adamek, a fighter ranked by nearly everybody as a top 5 heavyweight. It is not fine for Wladimir not to fight Haye now Haye actually wants the fight.

Tell me more about my double standards…

Anyway, we can both agree that, if Wladimir is tied up, Haye and Vitali should sign to fight this summer. Now let’s see how that one plays out…

Ruiz wasn't shot. He showed none of the signs of that. Ruiz is also a much harder puncher than he's given credit for. He's nothing special, but still better than Arreola.

I think you're being very unfair to Ruiz, actually. He wasn't the same guy that fought Holyfield, but his style wasn't affected by age in the same way. A tough, physically strong guy with a decent jab and decent skills. He was still using them effectively - you can make an argument that he beat Valuev both times.

You don't need power to discourage Arreola - Adamek didn't. He just kept firing punches and moving off. Arreola is a simple task for any skilled, intelligent fighter.

    Nice reply:good

But i still think Ruiz lacks the movement or power required to confuse Chris, he's basically a come fwd warrior, not skilled, and i think he'd get stopped.

I don't agree with Haye's conduct, really. But there were good reasons Haye was wary of signing a contract - and the brothers played their part in the earlier fights not happening. Haye had a valid reason for the first fight falling through.

The Harrison fight was ridiculous but again it was because Wlad would not compromise on a reasonable point. And when Haye did compromise, Wlad fights a guy who's as undeserving as Audley and doesn't even make serious money. That's even more ridiculous.

The Adamek fight's ok, but not compared to a Haye fight. I don't think Wladimir has a moral leg to stand on when he's spent 18 months saying Haye's ducking him. And now when Haye says "OK" Wlad goes and fights someone else. Surreal!

Haye-Vitali sounds good to me. But I think Vitali will opt for Solis.

True but a unificaton trumps a mandatory. Boente seems to think the WBC would sanction Vitali-Haye over Vitali-Solis if requested. Even if Vitali fights Solis in March he could still fight Haye in July/August.

UPDATE: Not a done deal and it's not definitely Wlad. They're opening a new stadium in September for the 2012 Euro's and Adamek vs one of the Klits could be the first event there.

Boente has said it could be either brother that fights Adamek.

whilst I agree, and if there is any shred of truth of this, then this could be Wlad's revenge and massive **** you to Haye.

After previous pull outs from Haye against both brothers and Haye telling us that he is retiring in October Wlad might think he can maybe draw Haye out longer which I don't think is possible.

    Haye is finished come October.

This is just Wlad taking the **** out of haye now its the fans who are missing out tho.

I agree haye should try and fight vitali now even tho he isnt his first choice if he beats him it backs wlad into a corner.

Dftaylor i agree with you haye had to take valuev on just as a bargaining tool or he would have been on the **** end of any negotiations i.e 3 rematches, less purse. At least by getting the WBA he had something the Klits wanted now they just getting him back and messing him around.

Its always being obvious they want vitali to take Haye on and not Wlad that clear from when booth and boente were on ringside that night.
