Not quite, especially when you want to draw the casual fan in. Casual fans rarely pay attention to boxing news, maybe at a glance.

8 weeks in between the bouts doesn't make sense (taking into consideration the size of the bout, and what it could be...world wide), from a promotional stand point anyway...like I've said before, it doesn't make sense to me.

Contracts will need to be signed, Wlad will rest for a week I'd assume. Promotion won't start immediately.

 

Considering most fighters tend to have 12 week training camps as standard it's still cutting it a bit fine... but in all seriousness because Haye will have to fight Chagaev and that will likely be in may that 9 weeks then becomes a maximum of 8
