Why is Wlad still fighting Chisora now the Haye fight is off?

Now that the Haye fight is dead, what is Wlad's excuse for letting a 14-fight novice get a shot at the title? The first excuse for this disgraceful mismatch was "it's a tune-up for Haye 8 weeks later" ok well, now the Haye fight is over why doesn't he fight someone respectable? Who's the tune-up for? Adamek in September? Makes no sense now the Haye fight is over, so why let this travesty of a fight go ahead?

The next excuse was "it's part of the promotional tour for the Haye fight" which was laughable in the first place, like fighting an unknown bum like Chisora would help promote the fight, but now the fight with Haye is over why is he still continuing to fight this guy? It's not like he's got any fight with Haye to promote anymore, so why bother fighting Chisora? Why not fight someone decent, someone in the top 50 who isn't a disgrace to the sport.

Derek Chisora is a novice, he's out of shape, only had 14 fights, has no amatuer background and never beaten anyone decent. His best wins are the 200 year old corpse of Danny Williams and a 300lbs journeyman called Carl Baker in a 4-rounder. He also bit Paul Butlin's ear during a fight, and recently got arrested for beating up his girlfriend and narrowly avoided jail. He is an inept boxer, the worst title contender in Heavyweight history, and by fighting him Wlad Klitschko disgraces the Heavyweight title and the entire sport of boxing. Infact, it would be wrong to even describe this as a sporting event, it's an ritualized beating of a mentally unstable journeyman. There's no sporting element to this whatsoever.

Never mind the David Haye fight, that's history now, lets look at this fight on it's own merits. I want to see some of the Klitschko fanboys try and defend this travesty of a fight and explain to me why it's still happening even though the David Haye fight has been ruined.

isnt he obligated to face him anyway? Plus he wants a tune up after a injury, if not for haye then for adamek. I dont like it either but I get way he would not cancel this fight.

Considering Wlad or Vitali has beaten anyone in the top 15 who isnt afraid of them Chisora, believe it or not, is one of the most qualified available contenders.

Thats how dominant the Klits are.

that and it shows the weakness of the division. I think we should take away the cruiserweight division, it could help if you think about it.

Well lets see, wlad was going to fight him in december, but got injuried, unlike hayes he likes to own up to what he started.
mmmm. also alot of fighters like hayes, are ducking him, an this is what wlad can get
further more, who should he fight in april, i mean, hayes is to scared, valuve wants to much money an so you have it. it is how boxing works, not every fight is a mega match up.

So, none has bothered to address the points I raised? The phoney "tune-up" for a non existant fight and the phoney "promotional exercise" for a fight that doesn't

I can't believe that people will let this disgraceful mismatch go away with any criticism. Never mind the Haye ****, there are at least 10 guys off the top of my head who would deserve this shot more than Chisora, and at least 2 guys in Britain who would provide a better fight than Chisora, Sprott and Rogan, both of whom are much better than Chisora.

Sprott, he would last at best two rounds, never saw rogan fight.

He signed the contract, what do you want wlad to do, tell chisora no thanks, i will fight a sprott cause he got more loses then you have wins:cool:

I would love for wlad to set up a fight on july 2, an tell hayes he got till april 15 to sign, or he will fight a diffrent fighter on that day. He could set up a video, call hayes a *****, an if hayes dosn't want to chanllenge, then the world would now, an then at the post fight interview on july 2, he could tease that for being a *****, an make fun of his nuthuggers for liking such a *****.

Surely his best win was against Sam Sexton (twice)

Because it is a re-scheduled fight from last year. Do you want Wlad to pull a Haye/Povetkin?

Anyway the top contenders don't want to fight him (Povetkin, Valuev) so does it matter who he fights? It's still a stay busy fight/tuneup.

I know this thread is not about Haye, but I don't know why anyone would expect Wlad to drop everything and wait around for Haye again after what Haye did to both of the Klits in 2009. You just can't trust a guy who's shown no honor or integrity.

Probably because his last fight with him was the only fight that Wlad has ever had to cancel. As a man, Champion, and a pro, he probably felt the obligation to give Chisora the opporunity to fight again.

haha I agree, Sprott would get destroyed in two rounds, but the point is he' still better than Chisora, at least Sprott has the experience and professionalism to make the fight worthwhile.

Sprott might be garbage, but he would beat Derek Chisora all night long.

He should never have given him the opportunity in the first place, how can you justify him even offering a novice like this the fight at all?

a "stay busy" fight? You mean an epic mismatch. A tuneup for who? It was supposed to be an easy tuneup for the Haye fight 8 weeks later, but now the Haye fight is dead who is the tune up for? Adamek?

Surely Klitschko would get a better workout fighting someone who has had 14 fights???
