I'm no patriot, the thread doesn't offend me at all. But it might **** off a lot of posters who are. Main problem is it's another sticky on what should be an uncluttered forum.

Who the **** are you anyway?

 

Personally I prefer General as this section is way too biased towards British fighters. I also don't mind a "troll" every now and then, like this thread for example. There are many jokes I don't find funny but I'm not about to throw a tantrum over them, I just keep on reading instead. The amount of crying in this thread is ridiculous, boxing would be destroyed because of Zakman, **** like that. And that was before the thread was stickied, which I do find somewhat funny. Can't help it.

Those poor revenue bringers who could not deal with a non-funny thread being stickied. I hope they find a humourless and dull enough place to spend their future time.

Yeah, big problem. A sticky thread for a few days, how will the people cope. Give me a break man. If you people didn't react like spastics it would have been gone already.

As a matter of fact, those who are completely pro-British are often regarded as trolls by the more level-headed posters on this forum.

Yeah we know. We get frequent "requests" (ban this alias now you incompetent piece of **** - and then it turns out not to be an alias) to get rid of your "trolls". Also many threats about being sued for slander because some poster insults some humourless ******* who thinks he's god.

Level headed is not how I would describe the attitude I often witness from posters in this section. Hysterical is more like it.

Btw. if you report me some real, obvious trolls, I will gladly get rid of them. I've done so in the past for sections that I do not moderate. But if you start off by insulting me and demanding things, your avatar will change and dumb threads may be stickied. That's how it works, we're not on your payroll.

 

Stickying this kind of stuff will encourage trolls and trolling.

Not a smart move.

But what I'm saying is, if you annoy a lot of posters and they leave, and your site gets less hits, you won't have much of a payroll to carry on with. Understand?

You also misunderstand me about trolls. What I meant was, posters who will not be swayed on the superiority of British fighters are not necessarily welcomed with open arms. This is more like a level-headed general forum in terms of boxing discussion (which is what I come here for, not endless 'Floyd has been arrested', 'Haye is gay', 'PAC is on roids' threads) although, as of late that side of it has regressed too.

I'm not claiming to have any answers, only that a humerous thread is one thing, a stupid thread is another. This appears to be the latter. I'd prefer the site I frequent to retain some of it's integrity to stop me from going elsewhere, unless of course my interest in ESB isn't valued?
